SE W595 'Liquid Damage' sticker inside?

I have the phone above. I had sent it off in early July to the 3 repair centre as it wasn't charging. They returned it and it appeared to work for a few days. The accompanying letter exlained that they had done a software upgrade and confirmed it was working.

I had to return it to 3 again just over a week ago for the same problem. They have now written back to say that as there is liquid damage, they are not responsible for repair. The photo printed on the letter purports to show the damage, but is very poor. From what I can see, it appears that they believe the issue to be with the Fastport connector.Given a range of options that are not satisfactory, I intend to pursue this through civil channels.

In order for me to do so, I need to know if these phones have a 'liquid damaged' sticker inside like Nokia? It would make any claim a lot easier if it did have and they haven't pointed it out.

TIA.

Opened up my w995 - There's one on top of the battery, the other one is actually internally I believe.

Cheers folks. Strange that 3 didn't take any photos of the sticker when claiming this liquid damage.

I know with SBE through T-mobile, they put a little yellow arrow sticker to point where the damage is on the photograph, usually at a good enough angle to see the damage and pinpoint where about in the phone the problem is, they don't tend to show pictures of the actual stickers - can have the watermark stickers intact but have water in the phone (one of my w810is for example, water indicators fine, but it was in a bag with defrosting food, and it did get wet). Phones are odd though.

A long shot, but I wonder if you can get a battery charger for the SE batteries, using the phone, and advoiding the need to charge it, only issue then is you'd need to use an online system like mobyko to backup contacts, not a system like myphoneexplorer, which would need the connector to work.

Another charger is not the issue Cerenia.

I believe that 3 are trying to dodge their responsibilities by claiming liquid damage when there is none, or that it is caused by a fault in the phone itself.

I have no intention of dropping this one, so want to confirm the facts for any claim I may make.

Please bear in mind that liquid damage can be a number of things including stupid things like condensation or the rain (even if the phone is in a pocket)

I was looking at alternative options long-term in case. I would be inclined to say send it back again, but they leave a sticker inside pointing to the damage, so its easilly spotted if its looked at. Have you contacted Sony Ericsson at all? Wonder if going through them might get a result.
