i've seen a couple of people mention that they are going for the holiday inn deal, and so are we! however i think that they all seem to be doing different packages dependant on the hotel? what does your package offer?
ours is £1000, and for that we get:
accomodation for bride and groom
evening reception with sandwich buffet for 100
dj evening til midnight
room hire
drinks reception and hot buffet for 30
cake stand and sword (sword?? !!!!!!??)
exclusive use of garden for photos
civil ceremony room hire
wedding co-ordinator
red carpet arrival
we havent actually booked it yet as we havent got the deposit money yet, but we are looking to jiggle it somewhat, as we are only going to have 100 guests in the evening and the buffet ratio is normally 70/100 i believe? and we would like to have 40 guests for the ceremony and hot buffet, but we havent met with the co-ordinator just yet as she was on holiday when we went for the grand tour. we will not be booking anything until these details have been ironed
also, do you know if they do corkage or is there no point asking?

That's the one i got but i know some people have gone for ones with less people in the day and a meal followed by a smaller buffet. It's worth asking the planner at your chosen hotel. Ours has been very flexible. Which one is it you are looking at by the way?:TMSE B2B 4th June 2010! :T0 -
the one in titchfield, which is between portsmouth and southampton. its lovely there, it burned down after getting struck by lightning in 2006 (so we should be safe as lightning doesnt strike twice
) so its all really freshly done. i didnt even know about the packages before we went, it was the only place that came up in all the googles i did that i didnt want to look at, and when we got there i loved it :rotfl:

We saw an article about the package in a newspaper...we went to look round because of the price thinking it would be awful and cheap looking but we really liked it)
Didn't realise they were still running the package as when we confirmed the date we were told that the deadline for deposits was June for the £1000 package...they must have decided to start it again, unless selected ones have carried on running it.:TMSE B2B 4th June 2010! :T0 -
emlou - i'm getting married there too!!
we've provisionally booked the date and are going to confirm this weekend!
when are u planning to have ur wedding? we're having ours August next year.
They do charge corkage at £10  at but we managed to negotiate with Debbie and got it down to £7.50 so you might want to do the same too!!0 -

emlou - yeah Debbie is very nice. Thats very important to me too. We've been to some really nice venues but the wedding coordinator hasnt been that great and thats put me off, especially as they're going to be quite important in helping sort the whole day out
we went to see her last week, and the £1000 offer is still on... she didnt mention about any deadlines. oh and I live in Fareham too!!0 -

I guess they started the offer again because it was so popular. Or it may just have been the hotel I am using decided just to have the offer on for a short amount of time.:TMSE B2B 4th June 2010! :T0
