No harm in viewing. :) But with house prices down 40%, an election and emergency budget on the way, possible sterling crisis (i.e. higher IRs), don't be making a decision to buy before June is my advice!

I used to live near Garnerville a few years ago and although that article doesn't shed good light on that area, we really knew very little about what was going on at the time as it was so quiet!

Garnerville Park isn't actually connected to Garnerville Road but is instead situated off Parkway which is the start of the outer ring from East Belfast through to Belvior. It's very handy if you're commuting around Belfast and you'll have Citybus services if you step onto the Holywood Road.

If you are keen on East Belfast and especially around Garnerville then drop me a PM and I may be able to help.
  • Thanks tara747- dont worry, if we like somewhere, our offer will be based on all of these things and we are willing to walk away if we feel we are being asked to pay to much;)

No problems. Stormont is a lovely area but I don't know it that well as far as houses go. Belmont is lovely and you shouldn't have any problems around there but good luck wherever you choose.

That news article was about the Knocknagoney estate, Garnerville Park is different completely and isn't a bad wee spot at all. I've lived in Belmont and Stormont and both are great, but Stormont edges it for me.
