AlienRik please can you have a look at my hijack this log and help me please. thanks
  • Have you run MalwareBytes? If not please do so.

    If you have and are still being redirected then please follow the below;

Please download GooredFix from one of the locations below and save it to your Desktop
    Download Mirror #1
    Download Mirror #2
    • Ensure all Firefox windows are closed.
    • To run the tool, double-click it (XP), or right-click and select Run As Administrator (Vista).
    • When prompted to run the scan, click Yes.
    • GooredFix will check for infections, and then a log will appear. Please post the contents of that log in your next reply (it can also be found on your desktop, called GooredFix.txt).

I had the same problem about 6 months ago. To check if it is the same then do a google seach and see whether you can see the "cached" page associated with the returned results. Also hover over the link for the results and see if it points somewhere else.

The problem looked like the proxy server (or something like that) had been changed and all web page requests were going through another "evil" server. This intercepted Google, MSN requests and gave back doctored results.

Seaching on "Google Hijacked Results" give lots of pointers on how to remove it. All I remember is that it took a bit of trying to sort out.

    Hi ya,

I've got this very annoying problem everythime i do a goole search ,click on the link it redirects me to an advertising page instead of going to the link i clicked on.
I've ran my avira antivirus, spybot, malware hijack this, ccleaner, they come up with problems, i've got them fixed, restarted my computer and the problem starts all over again. I've googled a fix for this but it seems that alot of people are having this problem especially with google.

I've used the other search engines and they seem fine.

Please could you help me as this is driving me crazy and obviously there is a malware issue and not good for my pc.

    thanks

I've ran googlefix and here is the log for it. I've run malwarebytes several times and get it to fix the problems it does and then when i go to restart the pc, the same thing happens all over again. I've currently making backup disks so mabe if i run them the problem could get sorted.

Atelier - i'm going to try your suggestion also - thanks
