Gotta get Debt Free

I've done my sums wrong as it would 'appear' I have £220.60 left for this month but I know I spent more than £10. Busy weekend and we need to rebuild an emergency fund having had to call the plumber out - at least it didn't go on a credit card!
I'll properly go through my receipts tonight to see what I have missed and work it out properly (I've just done some quick sums at my desk!)Debt at lightbulb moment (18 Aug 2009) 30933.95,Debt 1 July 2011 £9663.71Debt free date[STRIKE]February 2017[/STRIKE] September 20160 -
Gah! I've cocked up my sums somewhere along the line and I've lost receipts so I have no idea how much I have left for the month. I know I have at least £20 in my account so I think I will withdraw that until all the payments from the weekend have cleared and then see what is left. Luckily the freezer is well stocked and we have loads of pasta etc.Debt at lightbulb moment (18 Aug 2009) 30933.95,Debt 1 July 2011 £9663.71Debt free date[STRIKE]February 2017[/STRIKE] September 20160

Rights, sums done and I have £124.88 remaining till payday on the 24th. I have lunch with me and I already know what we're having for tea tonight so it should be a no spend day and this should be doable. I was meant to be out tomorrow night but we won free tickets to a cinema screening so I can cancel this and I have a dinner out next week but I'm hoping to be able to use a voucher for this. I'm also owed £25 from OH which he will give me when he gets paid next Friday.Debt at lightbulb moment (18 Aug 2009) 30933.95,Debt 1 July 2011 £9663.71Debt free date[STRIKE]February 2017[/STRIKE] September 20160

No spend day yesterday, magazine and some fruit purchased on my way to work today. I also unexpectedly came into some money last night so the total left till the 24th is £140.14.Debt at lightbulb moment (18 Aug 2009) 30933.95,Debt 1 July 2011 £9663.71Debt free date[STRIKE]February 2017[/STRIKE] September 20160

Ok, so the budgetting isn't going that well, I have £30.50 left till the 24th, although I have £40 coming to me tomorrow as I picked up something for a friend as she can't get here to buy one. I'm out for tomorrow and Wednesday night though, need to work out how to make these as cheap as possible!Debt at lightbulb moment (18 Aug 2009) 30933.95,Debt 1 July 2011 £9663.71Debt free date[STRIKE]February 2017[/STRIKE] September 20160

Some good news! In my february pay I'll also be getting my bonus which should mean, once tax etc has been paid, I can clear two of my credit cards! It'll be the two smallest ones (one of which is only £54.14) but it'll mean I'm only concentrating on one card so I should be able to make inroads to getting that cleared ASAP.
Husband and I were also talking at the weekend and we're thinking of starting to try for a baby about May/June time so if I can clear my cards asap it'll mean we have the best chance of getting things organised and getting on track with this (without me worrying about money all the time).Debt at lightbulb moment (18 Aug 2009) 30933.95,Debt 1 July 2011 £9663.71Debt free date[STRIKE]February 2017[/STRIKE] September 20160 -
And another day and more money trickling away. £14.86 left till payday (24th) as I picked up some groceries. I'm not counting the £40 owed to me till it's in my account! OH gets paid on Friday and will hopefully transfer some cash to me for bills and groceries. Luckily dinner out tonight has turned into a quick drink so should be fairly cheap.Debt at lightbulb moment (18 Aug 2009) 30933.95,Debt 1 July 2011 £9663.71Debt free date[STRIKE]February 2017[/STRIKE] September 20160

One night out done, one to go tonight. Luckily my friend has a 50% card for the place we're going to and I don't want to drink due to weightwatchers so fingers crossed for a cheap night. Money received from friend, but ready meal purchased and a few bits for lunch on my way in. £46.22 left until the 22nd.Debt at lightbulb moment (18 Aug 2009) 30933.95,Debt 1 July 2011 £9663.71Debt free date[STRIKE]February 2017[/STRIKE] September 20160

I've not posted as OH lost his job again and I've been really upset by it all. It seems I am the only one that cares about clearing the debts and being able to put food on the table, he is quite happy to spend that as it's 'only' £50. I'm at my wits end and all I can think about is keeping a roof over our heads and trying to live whilst he happily skips along spending money whilst not having an income. He has enough money for two months of his credit card bills, mobile phone bill etc. My bonus will no longer go on credit cards but will keep us going for a further two months should he still not have a job. He is now concentraing his job search on permanent positions only as I'm at the end of my tether so far as contracts go. I have no idea if this money will last this long. I can't stop him from spending or putting more on his credit card, however it is stretching what I am willing to put up with.
Anyway, debt at 24 February (payday) currently stands at £9305.83 so a substantial chunk cleared from last month. There may be a small amount of interest to pay on the Egg card as this was cleared this month but I should be able to clear that next month. MBNA are now charging me interest so I'm only reducing the debt by about £5 per month (the majority of my debt is on this card), I also only have another couple of months before I start paying interest on my Santander card so things are going to dramatically slow down on the debt busting.
Money for month is £295.10.Debt at lightbulb moment (18 Aug 2009) 30933.95,Debt 1 July 2011 £9663.71Debt free date[STRIKE]February 2017[/STRIKE] September 20160 -
Not a lot of Debtbusting happening in the Knitty household with only minimum payments being made (although I have a small amount in savings that I will transfer over if we can get to the end of the month without needing to go into the red). OH managed to get another contract but he won't get paid till the end of April so my money will be used to cover the bills. A few things sold on eBay and I have some more lined up that I can list (must get off my rear and get these sorted). I was hoping to be debt free by the end of the year, if not sooner, but it doesn't look like that will happen.Debt at lightbulb moment (18 Aug 2009) 30933.95,Debt 1 July 2011 £9663.71Debt free date[STRIKE]February 2017[/STRIKE] September 20160
