Gotta get Debt Free

I've not been around much due to stuff happening at home. I had to dip into the money I set aside for the MOT/Service but I can account for this next month with no problems. However, I think I filled in my snowball wrong as I just redid it and my debt free date is in 2015. :eek:I think I missed one of the APRs or something out because the numbers as they were are all right. I've been slacking on the Ebay (I find it so boring) but I have to get back on it now.Debt at lightbulb moment (18 Aug 2009) 30933.95,Debt 1 July 2011 £9663.71Debt free date[STRIKE]February 2017[/STRIKE] September 20160

Still not much happening. I've been truely slacking, although I have been reducing the debt and not adding to it so not all bad. We came in well under on the groceries, although I didn't keep all the receipts so I don't have a 'true' value of what we spent. Started the spending diary again as of tomorrow.
I need to update my bill spreadsheets and still need to list ebay items (although I have another 10 due to end on Sunday and three scheduled to start on thursday - must remember to go in and change them to start immediately earlier on Thursday to avoid the fees. Still going onto Virgin Bingo for my scratchcard. Not been doing TAB so much, just going to spend my bonus money and then close the account. Still not also seen anyone to ask about the electric meter.
I'm going to try and come on here more often to keep better track of things. Whilst I've not added to the debt I'm sure there is much more I could have done to bring the debt free date forward.
Will update my sig later too.Debt at lightbulb moment (18 Aug 2009) 30933.95,Debt 1 July 2011 £9663.71Debt free date[STRIKE]February 2017[/STRIKE] September 20160 -
I've updated my sig to something simpler as I was getting confused! Nothing much to report, my head is full of cotton wool thanks to a cold, my bank account is low due to me forgetting that I have to pay for a travel card every month and I've already cleared the additional £300 I thought I had for the credit card. I've been making a note of all my spends and when I get home I shall set up an online spending diary. I've been buying lunches and more 'convenience' style foods but I'd rather that than takeways as I have no energy for cooking.Debt at lightbulb moment (18 Aug 2009) 30933.95,Debt 1 July 2011 £9663.71Debt free date[STRIKE]February 2017[/STRIKE] September 20160

A cheap weekend as we were both too ill to go anywhere or do anything. We did slip slightly on Friday and ordered a takeaway but the food took longer than expected to arrive, we called to be told it had left 5 minutes ago and when it arrived a further 15 minutes later we sent it back cold and I cooked the chilli I originally had planned!
Expensive day today though - £40 to have my watch battery replaced! There is a lot to be said for having a 'nice' watch (this was one given to me several years ago and I love it dearly) but blimey that knocked me back a bit. The last one was changed four years ago though so can't complain too much! And £3.49 for a Boots meal deal as we've no food in the flat! Must sort out a shop. Groceries came in under budget last month and we still have plenty for evening meals in the freezer, so just lunches to sort out really. Oh, and I have just over £20 in my 'spendings' account to last me till the 24th. Going to be tight as I have a comedy night to attend on Wednesday (which may have to involve eating out!) and theatre Sunday although I may be able to get away with either eating at home or getting someone else to pay for my dinner! A couple of knitting events I want to attend but I can usually get away with just buying a coffee/drink and then eating at home.
On the plus side I got just over £18 cashback cleared in my account so I've paid that off the smallest MBNA card. I was tempted to put the money in my spends account but I'm pleased I didn't. I also have a few ebays items to post up and send out, but I also have ebay fees to be paid so this will cover those I think so no actual profit! Must work out in advance what my fees will be as I overpaid the credit card and the shortfall will have to come from my spends account!Debt at lightbulb moment (18 Aug 2009) 30933.95,Debt 1 July 2011 £9663.71Debt free date[STRIKE]February 2017[/STRIKE] September 20160 -
Some good news on 2 counts! Firstly I managed to get OH into Asda to do our weekly shop and he didn't self combust
Weekly shop came in a lot cheaper than it normally would and we even got some 'convenience' type foods in there as well! :money:
Secondly, and more importantly, OH has been off sick. He's a contractor and hasn't managed to get his timesheet signed off so as yet his wages are not going to get paid. I just had a phonecall to say that we're getting £800 back from a deposit we paid for a wedding venue we didn't use (we couldn't afford it so we went for somewhere a lot cheaper and wrote this money off - even with that the wedding was about a third less than it would have cost) :TPerfect timing as the £800 can stay in my bills account until OH gets paid and then I can put it towards the credit cards. :jDebt at lightbulb moment (18 Aug 2009) 30933.95,Debt 1 July 2011 £9663.71Debt free date[STRIKE]February 2017[/STRIKE] September 20160 -
Not a particularly moneysaving couple of days. Last night I met a couple of girls for some last minute celebratory drinks (one of the finally got a permanent job after a year of jub hunting :j) and ended up buying a round of drinks and then on the way home I got some chicken nuggets  And tonight is a work comedy night so will need to withdraw my last £20 for that as I'll need to buy a couple of drinks and some food. And then that's it, no life for me until payday on the 24th. I must sort out what/how I'm spending my money as this cannot continue and I want to get to a stage where I have money left at the end of the month that I can put towards debts.
Also going to be unproductive in the ebay/surveys etc as not going to be able to go online tonight to do them. Ah well, there is always tomorrow. Or no sleep maybeDebt at lightbulb moment (18 Aug 2009) 30933.95,Debt 1 July 2011 £9663.71Debt free date[STRIKE]February 2017[/STRIKE] September 20160 -
Last night was cheaper than expected - there were two free drinks included in the ticket to so money spent there. However, they promised patters and when we arrived they were pretty much all gone  As there were still people arriving I think they should have kept them till the interval or something so I ended up getting some pasta on the way home - £5.80 but as that was all I spent for the night I'm not going to complain too much. Should be a low spend day today, just some ebay packages to send from the post office and something to go on top of a baked spud. At least I still have my last £20 in the bank.Debt at lightbulb moment (18 Aug 2009) 30933.95,Debt 1 July 2011 £9663.71Debt free date[STRIKE]February 2017[/STRIKE] September 20160

Only the postage to pay - I opened my desk drawer at work and sitting there comfortably is a tin of WW Coronation Tuna. That'll do as my potato topping :jDebt at lightbulb moment (18 Aug 2009) 30933.95,Debt 1 July 2011 £9663.71Debt free date[STRIKE]February 2017[/STRIKE] September 20160

Baby steps so far today (and a wish list I have no chance of clearing). Lunchtime I really wanted Sushi. I went to the M&S food hall, Selfridges Food Hall, Wasabi and Pret and walked out of all of them empty handed and had my baked spud in the office. After paying my ebay postage I had to get my last £20 out and I know I can't afford to spend a quarter of that on one meal.
Also, I reconciled my ebay after my paypal hit my account and I've cleared another £2.39 of my credit card. Not a huge amount but better than nothing.Debt at lightbulb moment (18 Aug 2009) 30933.95,Debt 1 July 2011 £9663.71Debt free date[STRIKE]February 2017[/STRIKE] September 20160 -
Why can't I get my head around staying on track? I have £8.98 to last me till payday on the 24th, although money for groceries still in the account (about £190ish) and I ordered a dress for a friend which she is going to pay me back for (she lives in Dublin and couldn't get delivery over there). I physically cannot put anything on the cards which is obviously a good thing. I think I need to plan a bit better - the reason for my now lack of funds is due to tiredness and not bringing anything in to work to eat.
I want to Ebay stuff but I'm not sure if it's a good idea in light of the postal strikes. I can't do a car boot - firstly I have no idea where near us holds them (extensive searches make me believe that there may be some south of the river to look at) but secondly I don't have a suitable table, nor do I know anyone with one! Also, I have a back complaint so ideally I shouldn't be humping and dumping stuff anyway.
I signed up to a free bingo site, deposited £10 and now can't withdrawe as the maximum withdrawal is £30!! I hope I get some more wins with that - so far I have 'made' £2.23.
I wanted to make a start on the free cash for clicks last night but didn't get round to it. Not going to happen tonight as we are seeing the 'inlaws' so I'm going to give it a bash tomorrow morning. Probably good idea to start at the weekend anyway as I'll have spare time.
I don't know why, I'm feeling sorry for myself today. I've got to the stage where I can't make large inroads in my debt and with my Debt free Date set as is my 'life' plans are all off track and there is no guarantee of how much longer I can maintain the payments I am - OH contract is due to end in December, my job is due to end April next year. Ah well, that's the price I have to pay for being irresponsible in my younger days.Debt at lightbulb moment (18 Aug 2009) 30933.95,Debt 1 July 2011 £9663.71Debt free date[STRIKE]February 2017[/STRIKE] September 20160
