Oops! Why did you depend on a computers temporary cache for the secure storage of such important data like passwords?

My advice to you was sound, if you do not have any
data redundancy then I am afraid the blame lies with you OM, I am sorry that you have lost your passwords but nothing harmful has been done here, CCleaner clears the 'Crap' off your computer like temporary data files and passwords stored in your cache etc.
A lesson learned for both of us here....don’t assume that people have backups and don’t listen to advice from IT professionals. ;)
The stored passwords are not for secure sites, only browsing and forums but there are a lot of them as I dont use the same info for each one, I am not a techy I dont understand computers or the jargon! Hence the reason I come on here.

You can read though and you should learn how to use any program that you install. Ignorance is not an excuse!

Addendum; If everyone read the manual I would not be going bald as quick!
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

not everyone can understand the manual....

Some of these "simple to use" programs are not so simple for us folk who grew up before the net was invented.

I still struggle with teletext sometimes.
