Further to andygb's post, try a search on this site:

I've stayed at a few of these around France and they are generally good value for money.
  • My choice Europe-wide is Ibis, who as have been mentioned are part of the Accor Group. Depending on location and what else is going on in the area at the time, they can be very reasonable and I've never had a problem with them. Certainly no frills, but that's what I want - bed, en-suite and the choice of whether I want breakfast or not. I would equate them to a Travelodge standard. HTH

I can recommend Hotel B&B - most of the hotels have been recently renovated & in my opinion they are the best of the 'budget' chains (premiere classe, etap etc)
I've just spent a month travelling through France staying in hotel/motel type places & found B&B to be by far the best. They're normally around 40 - 50 euros a night, with promotions for 39 euro on the website. En-suite and free wifi.

I can't post links, but a quick search on google for hotel bb should throw up the webpage.
