How much is your budget?
If you're looking for Windows Mobile 5.0 based PDA, take a look at Dell Axim x51, meets all your requirements for around £219 at the moment .. visit dell website.
http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/axim_x51_520?c=uk&cs=ukdhs1&l=en&s=dhs
However if you're more into Palm based PDA, you can get Palm Tx for around £188 from Amazon.co.uk.
http://euro.palm.com/uk/en/products/tx/specs.html
Both of them have what you need really .. just different operating system. If you need basic PDA with ready to run applications, I'll suggest to go for the Palm Tx, it has surely better battery life.0 -
I've got the dell axim x51 & would happily reccomend it. I've had it for about 3 months now.
I use it mostly for excel, contacts, diary, a few games, tomtom, playing music & it does all of that with no problem - also looks the part too. The only ones that I've seen that look a bit flashier as the Ipaqs but I think they are more expensive for the same spec.
Anyway If you know anyone wanting a dell PC you can get a deal if you buy the axim at the same time so I got mine for £199.99 because my mom wanted a new desktop.

I have the O2 xda exec and find it great
It costs £149.99 but if you use Quidco.com you get £35 back
It has some great features including 3G, infrared, wireless and bluetooth
you can see more about it here: http://xda.o2.co.uk/doesXdaExec.aspx

The Dell Axim is very good and they are still pushing the X51- 520MHz. Meanwhile the faster 624 MHz has shot up in price so it will probably come up on offer before long - one to watch out for if it appears for around £250 if you can wait that long.0

XDA Exec is in my opinion the best out at the moment and I've had the XDA II and IIs before
It depends on how much you're likely to use the keyboard really. If you are only going to do the occasional bit of typing then get a second hand XDA II or IIs or even IIi. If you are planning on doing LOTS of typing on it then spend the extra pennies and look into getting the exec

Since XDA Exec is a mobile phone + PDA, you need to subscribe to O2 and tied to the 12 month contract (cheapest being at £20/month). No idea if you could buy any XDA w/o contract though, and if it is possible, I don't think you could get it at £149.99.0

Having had a couple of Palmpilots, I got sick of carrying round a mobile phone and a PDA and got a combined one in a Sony-Ericsson. I'm on my second now (P910i). It doesn't have quite as many games available as Palm or Windows-based devices, but it does the office-orientated stuff very well (email, calendar, contacts, jotter, view M$Office files), as well as Pictures, Videos and MP3s. You can of course synchronise everything with Outlook, etc on a PC
You need to decide whether you want an all-in-one to replace your phone, too, or just something additional. Then you need to try and guess how you'll use it. Will it go everywhere, and be a primary source. Will it need to receive work emails (aka RIM Blackberry), or just be used for more occasional email use? Will you use it for note-taking? Do you want it to have an expansion slot? I've a 2Gb card in mine so I use it to transport documents as well as listen to MP3, display my latest pictures and the occasional family video.
The main problem is that until you've used one, you don't know what you'll do with it, so advising is very difficultJumbo

Thanks to all of you!0

I bought myself a palm lifedrive mainly because of the 4gb hd, means I don't have to get mem cards (extra cost) and it does wifi + bluetooth.0

Don't remember why I choosed ipaqhx4700 over lifedrive, but I was Palm freak before, owned Palms (Vx & IIIc) & Sony Clies (TG50 & 760(IIRC)) .. may be the size of the VGA screen made me attracted to hx4700 .. but anyway, Palm is dying .. I'll stick with Microsoft Windows Mobile devices for now0
