Yeah, my DS used to have them.
16 this month & does not want to celebrate.
Pleased in a way as so skint but would like to do something .
Ahhhh 16 I cant imagine my "baby" growing up just yet. Why not just do something private like a special cake? I imagine like most teenagers he gets embarressed easily. Im sure he would like abit of fuss just not in public.:j0 -
Oh heck, didn't realise that bowling parties were £9 ahead, DD wants one next yr,......
This yr, shes haveing her party at local sports centre, £45 inc 2 hrs, 2 staff to arrange the party games, and a bouncy castle for the 2nd half of the party.
I'm doing the food, bit of a pain, but sent out menu choices, saves wasting food.
Estimated the food for 30 kids + adults (have to cater for those staying), £40
The party bags, (done 30) just incase everyone says yes, that worked out £40.
We raided Woolworths when they were closing down and home bargains, I feel mean if I don't let her have a party, but the money could be put towards something else.
Told her if she has a party nxt yr, be the minimum number of kids!! xx
Yes Ive noticed how super organised you are this year and having a really good :money:party. DS will not entertain anything other than bowling he looks forward to it each year even when he turned 5 and all his friend - pretty much all 4 - were sooo small when it came to holding the balls! There wont be many kids as its 3 /27 just for mine .
Got to go we have nits back  after 1week back :mad::mad::j0 -

Well 4 out of 5 of us done just OH to do himself. Nothing done this weekend really just sleep. Still planning on painting the bathroom but thats now after the Everton game.
Flaming lice/nit thing seems neverending. DD2 (9) is the worst for it. The kids still insist on sleeping together so it gets passed round the whole family really quickly. Just gonna have to comb them evey hair wash from now.
NSD so other than £1 to DD1 yesterday and the £47 shopping not a bad weekend. Stillneed to check the budget . Won 70p on scratch card today so thats adding up will soon have £10 of free money. Just hope I get the piggy points as well.:j0 -
One tip is to use coconut oil shampoo - coconut oil stops the lice being able to breathe, so if you are washing hair every day or so, they don't survive long enough to reproduce......
Also, have you got a "nitty gritty" comb? The best £9.99 any primary school parent can possibly spend!!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Trying to be super organised this yr, getting their slowly, to be entirely honest its to keep a tighter reign on the purse strings.
Get organised it all parts of my life, bar tidying my room, and doing OU work, the 7 week school hol threw that into turmoil, and mother with her falls, the new puppy, 2 weeks behind, but plan it to catch up this + nxt week, bar going into town 2mor to pay bills, and docs thurs am, got free week, so head in books when dd at school, bedtime, internet time as atreat!!
Hadn't heard about the coconut shampoo, every couple of weeks we use tea tree shampoo + conditioner, touch wood, we only had the visitors twice last school yr, they stayed contained with dd.
Good luck xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Have you done all the usual stuff such as washing bedsheets + pillowcases in really hot wash as well - might help - tying long hair up (can't hurt) - know I have this to look forward to at some point!Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63
