Hard to believe that anyone would be that gullible, but they are very well done, and it's easy just to click on a link on the spur of the moment. I use incredimail, and have little spam trouble normally, unlike AOL, where I used to have masses of it.

I'm a complete novice with IT and after reading this thread went into Outlook Express then "my messages" then "delete" and "block." Will this work? I expect I may find out within the next 24 hours.
Did try the "Help" section first but it looked far too complicated for me.
Most of these spamers alter the sender address everytime they send a new mail.
You'll still get the message but it will look like it's from someone else.more dollar$ than sense0 -

I'm afraid that blocking email addresses is fairly useless, as they will spoof addresses willy-nilly. Try using your own spamfilter which looks at the contents of the message and assesses whether the mail is Ham or Spam.
I use a free one called Popfile. You'll need to train it what you think is good or bad, but it will soon (30-80 emails) pick up your preferences and start filtering accurately. Nothing will get it right all the time, so you'll have to check your spam box occasionally for proper emails, and the occasional spam will slip through - but less than 2%.
These new emails have caused a hiccup as it comes to terms with new attacks, but it soon settles down again after the first few.Jumbo
