Pro evolution needs quite a bit of graphics power, but you can probably still play it on low settings.

I recently got a dell 630m from the outlet store for £400, they messed up the delivary and gave me £50 back :T I reccomend one of them, they are only around £500 new.

    Cheers,

    Olly

You're right. It might not be very demanding for a desktop with 3D accelerated graphics card but for a laptop, it might struggle.

Seriously wouldnt opt for the Pentium-M in the 1300, comes on a 400mhz FSB which would be a bit of a bottleneck, they are native 533FSB.

Celeron-M isnt as bad as some people make out (I'm using one right now, in a 1300) and its excellent.

The needs you say you have would be met by the £350 base model with a RAM upgrade from lowestonweb IMO.

Thats fine, as long as you understand that the stigma associated with Celeron processors is no longer relevant on the new Mobile CPUs.

They use the same core (Dothan), just Celeron has 1/2 the L2 cache and no SpeedStep.

I just got an Inspiron 1300 with a Celeron and I'm VERY impressed. Always used Athlons up until now and thought the Celeron would be a dissapointment but it's not the case at all. I really wouldn't write off the current Celeron-M altogether if I were you!

With max budget of £550, you could get the Inspiron 6400 CoreDuo instead. If you're not hurry, just wait till the best time to grab it.. Dell usually put a deal at the end of the week.
