my first place was all magnolia which meant I didn't have to do anything but I wanted to. I didn't have much money so I did bits as I could afford it.
the house I have now was a wreck and needed everything doing, I had the cash to afford the work on top of the mortgage so bought it knowing it would be finished to my taste, also this is my home so i'm bothered by what effects house prices.
if the OP is asking as a buyer then it depends on your skills and cash position, if asking as a seller then leave it alone market it and get the feedback - if the feedback is negative you can either drop the price or do it up.0
