New contracts/Samsung p300

Hello

I am looking at getting a new contact phone and was wondering if anyone can advise me on doing this.

It seems the best deals are to be had via the internet from Dial-a-phone, e2save etc.
However, I’m not entirely sure how these companies work and how reputable they are.

If I was to get a phone from E2Save on an O2 tariff, would my bills come from O2 or E2Save? And if the handset breaks down etc, do I have to go to E2Save? If so, are they alright to deal with or will it take forever to get a the problem resolved?
And can you change your tariff down at along the same timelines as o2 if you go through someone else (eg you can lower your tariff with no penalties after 6 months with 02, Orange, vodafone etc)

Additionally, if anyone can give me any advice on if the Samsung P300 is any good it would also be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Minski

The retailers are paid a large commission by the network when they connect you to a mobile contract. This commission is then offered as cashback. e2save are extremely reliable with cashback and are one of the retailers I personally recommend.

O2 connections made via e2save use CPWS (Carphone Warehouse Services) as the service provider. They will be responsible for for billing and customer services. I do not recommend CPWS and would suggest using mobileshop who connect directly with the network with O2 contracts.

If there is a problem with the handset during the 12 months manufacturer's warranty, the easiest thing is to take it to a Carphone Warehouse Repair Centre where it will be repaired free of charge. This also applies even if you didn't purchase the phone from CPW (or one of its online subsidiaries).

You are free to lower your tariff with no penalty from the network but this would invalidate the cashback terms and conditions with the retailer.

    Hope this helps.
