Best way to cancel contract with 3 Mobile?

I'm coming ot the end of my contract period with 3 Mobile and want to terminate. What is the best way to go about this? I don't want to spend hours on the phone while they try and give me another deal, I've already signed up with someone else so it isn't an option.

Also my husband was chased for two years by 3 for his final bill, which he paid by direct debit at the time. Was a complete pain in the !!!!! as every couple of months he'd get a letter from a different company of debt collectors and had to fax them his proof of payment. Don't fancy going through that again!

Options
1. Ask for PAC code.
2. Ask for contract to be turned to pay and go at end of contract.
3. Ask for cancellations and be forceful.

Put all of above into email and THEN phone them - ask for the cancellation procedure (what they want from you in writing) and also you want PAC code.
