Keeping old mobile no

Hi

I am about to leave the country and don't need a UK mobile phone. However, I would like to keep my existing number so my mum can receive any calls for me on this number.

I have a contract on 3 and would like to keep this number. However, I don't need to have a contract and want to cancel the contract.

Phoned up 3 who really confused me. They said the best thing to do was to get a PAC number. What is the best thing to do with this. I have also got a brick on T- Mobile (PAYG)

Thanks

V

Yes get that PAC number from three saying you are going for T-Mobile and the give PAC number to T-Mobile PayG Customer Support.

Your mobile number will then be ported/transferred to T-Mobile PayG and wont be in a contract anymore. Your Mom will only have to top it up when needed.

    Hope that helps

Which phone will it be on the good one (from the 3 contract) or the brick (T Mobile PAYG)?

You have to be careful with P&G validity - some say 1 call every 90 days IIRC.
Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers  )!

If you are porting to t- mobile from 3. It will definetly be on the brick , but u can always get the nice phone unlocked so that u can use any sim with it.
