could it perhaps be that the person doing the viewing wants to make sure they have a record of who they are meeting in advance?
anyone remember the Suzy Lamplugh case?
ie. the Estate Agent murdered while showing "Mr Kipper" around a property. The Lamplugh Trust has campaigned ever since over personal safety issues for staff when meeting strangers at properties.
Like maninthe street says I think if it was a case of that then people would have fake id's....I have to say I was asked as female tenant to do viewings on my own for random stangers, fortunately I didn't have too as I couldn't be available 24 hr 7 but it does make you think that things havent changed much. i've also been to viewings where the lady estate agent has been on her own with no mobile phone and no way of contacting her whilst on the property....and a couple of letting agents have had no idea where their staff are, which god forbid if anything had happened then they wouldn't have known for a while....
Anyway back to the original topic my husband has emailed the manager asking them to be flexible....Maninthestreet it's kinda a standard form where you live, do you own the property, how many years you've been with your bank, bank details, employment details etc...
Oh and chickmug think they want to see them in person...0 -
We never got a reply back from that manager, she had read the email but obviously they couldn't be flexible and with the flooring issue as well we've decided to leave it...0
