Please help do i need to do anything else? malwarebytes report

Hi all sorry about this but my husband is not home and I am unsure what to do. we run the malwarebytes always after reading through e-mails or if we download something and this morning i have been rather popular on e-mails and when ran this is the report. is they anything else that I should do? we have Mcafee antivirus installed to but that seems to be running very very slow like after 15 minutes was still not scanning any files in the part you see it counting the files it has scanned and will not update.

Any help would be very welcome

  • Probably best to re run the Malwarebytes scan, (quick scan) and re post your result.

 Well Done , You've done it , You're clean. Perhaps a change of antivirus now, as mc afee is'nt considered one of the best, I personaly use Avira on the reccomendations I received on here, and have had no problems whatsoever, find it http://download.cnet.com/Avira-AntiVir-Personal-Free-Antivirus/3000-2239_4-10322935.html?part=dl-10322935&subj=dl&!!!!!button&cdlPid=11012914. Hi, sorry to be a pain but I installed Secunia PSI and it says i am infected on D drive here....

    D:\I386\APPS\APP30322\scr\NAV\External\NORTON\APP\navapsvc.exe

Problem i have is i can not delete it and update it, plus i do not use nortons and would not mind it being deleted. How could i do this when it says that area is locked?
  • D drive is usually your cd drive! it shouldnt be locked if its your hard drive, can you log in as administrator, or move it to another folder first and then delete it
  • how do i log on as administrator?
  • Recovery Partition
    Warning!

This area of your hard drive
    (or partition) contains files used
    for your PC Recovery.

Do not delete or alter these files.

Any change to this partition could
    prevent any recovery later.
  • normally the username is just administrator, password could be anything, as for the warning, is this anorton warning, its possible some programmes flag up files from other programmes as virus' in a way to stop you using them.

i personally would try and completely uninstall norton

It is norton 06 that is being flagged and i have uninstalled it all and it is not in regedit or anything but on that programme it says it is still on the drive and being used to hack my computer or something, just thought if i delete that would be end of it.

Whilst looking into computer i found a creator file that is also locked how do i see what that is and what is in that?

is there anyway i can check the passwords for the administrator or my log in now so i do not log out and end up being locked out alltogether

    sorry about all questions
