    The hospitals have had them.

    Because pandemic flu hasn't 'peaked' yet, most healthcare providers have avoided treating symptomatic patients because they've been asked to stay away unless they have an urgent need.

    Once the pandemic starts to peak there will be occasions where symptomatic patients will require healthcare treatment for urgent /emergency problems in which case the staff will require adequate PPE (personal protective equipment) and RPE (respiratory protective equipment)

    These are new technology masks which are smaller and lighter than the old ones.

    ..from a mcirobiologist point of view (and someone who has wafted a few different flu viruses around in her time .:o:o...luckily one was H1N1 :cool::cool:.).....those masks almost look like they're effective :D
