Well the fridge is now sparkly clean...and until I went shopping this evening was very very empty.
I've also purged and inventoried the freezer...and have worked out I have enough stuff to mealplan for the next month :eek:
Therefore I have bought tinned stuff/washing powder/bog rolls etc today in order to survive the month of October and will keep weekly grocery bill down to below £30.
Oh and because I am going to have to enjoy my own cooking (repetitively) ...I have treated myself to a ready meal of hot smoked salmon, new potatoes and most importantly green edamame beans/spring greena and peas...nom nom...and I have treated myself to a small (250ml) bottle of white wine to go with it.
Been a very busy day -(once I finally got up).... stripped beds, done three loads of washing plus hand washed a load of delicates; cleaned and washed fridge; inventoried freezer and mealplanned; have re-arranged piggies in the garage into a U-shape so they can talk to each other (awww.....) and generally got it more organised in there - plus found and arranged their old winter duvets around the cage (the garage was really cold this morning) Have cleaned out some of them but ran out of sawdust.
Watered all hanging baskets/pots -but didn;t get time to mow grass (actually it was covered in dew all day)
Tonight is definitely ironing night...apart from cleaning out Bandit and giving him a new towel (do this every two days). So I am off to enjoy my hot salmon and glasss of wine before getting stuck in - hope there;s something good on the telly

OMFG :eek::eek::eek:
Youth of today :mad::mad:. 10 minutes ago a small car took the corner badly and has ended up in the stream by the big culvert. Lukcy my car was outside my house and not on the drive or it would have taken the full force. Likewise, thank god the skip was remved last week. Unbeliveable that they could end up where they have...must be very very bad drivers...or on something.
Thankfully, none of them are hurt..
However, the silly little nice-but-dim idiots are now trying to reverse the car up the bank, churining it all up as they get nowhere...(they haven't got a hope and will need a 4x4 tow)..and guess who will be asked by the Environment Agency to make good. ...I have appraised them of the iplications of their actions and I now have their details and the reg number of the car...time of accident 21.45. I have rung my top totty tree surgeons for assistance ...but unfortunately they are not answering.
If the car s not removed in the next hour I will ring the police and report it.
Good excuse not to do the ironing...Wol scurries off to make hot sweet tea.Flooded 20/07/07.

Youth of today :mad::mad:. 10 minutes ago a small car took the corner badly and has ended up in the stream by the big culvert.
Let's face it, this isn't "badly" - this is like they tried to take a different corner to the one they were driving round.Lukcy my car was outside my house and not on the drive or it would have taken the full force.
Yep - and that's the *last* thing you need. Though also it's good that you have kind-of a moat around your house to stop idiots from coming in through the walls.Likewise, thank god the skip was remved last week.
What you worried about that for? Skip would be fine.Unbeliveable that they could end up where they have...must be very very bad drivers...or on something.
Yep...Thankfully, none of them are hurt..
Hmm...is that part of the North-South divide..?However, the silly little nice-but-dim idiots are now trying to reverse the car up the bank, churining it all up as they get nowhere...(they haven't got a hope and will need a 4x4 tow)..and guess who will be asked by the Environment Agency to make good.
Their insurance company - if they are insured. Offer to project manage it for a fee....I have appraised them of the iplications of their actions and I now have their details and the reg number of the car...time of accident 21.45. I have rung my top totty tree surgeons for assistance ...but unfortunately they are not answering.

Ring them now. They may not be insured/licensed to drive/drunk or a million and one such things.Good excuse not to do the ironing...Wol scurries off to make hot sweet tea.

There are now 15 nice-but-dim youths trying to pull this car up the bank on a short tow rope (with a flat front tyre)...I have lent them some ply board for the wheels. I do not feel it would be appropriate to take flash photos...the mood of the mob might turn
He has breakdown recovery but it is linked to his insurance ...I suppose I should go out and get his insurance details ...cos all I have is his name, car reg no and mobile number plus the fact he has Co-op insurance ...Flooded 20/07/07.

Well the Ford transit which turned up has gouged two big furrows.and got nowhere..(I did try to tell them but they wouldnt listen ...)..and the police (2 units) have now turned up (not me that called them). I have made my statement and they understand my position..ref riparian law and the Environment agency.. and I have now got drivers full details apart from insurance which won;t be available until the car is recovered as the police have forbidden anyone to touch it in it's current position (and the dcos are in the boot)
Recovery people said they will be there in an hour..they now have 5 minutes left
Ho Hum.....Looks like it's a late (chilly) night for Wol then......time to start ironing to warm up having been outside for the last hour....Bbbrrrrrrrrrr

Oh Wol Honey....its all happening to you at the moment Sweetheart....<<big hugs>> just make yourself another cuppa & get yourself wrapped up. The police will deal with it now.
LOL....ironing is very underrated therapy IMO....should be available free on the NHS....hmmm wish they could send someone round to do mine:D:D:D
Seriously take care & relax. My farm was next to an accident hotspot & 2 people died in seperate accidents last year & both times I was the first on the scene...it shakes you up. At least no-one was badly injured in this incident....car & wayside are repairable.
