    Hello folks

I saw a gorgeous man today..he was tall (just think if I went out with him I would never have to use a step ladder to change my lightbulbs again - not that I do now I just leave them and con someone else into changing them:rotfl:). This chap was tall probably about 6'5 trouble was he had this rug peering out of his shirt and I don't do hairy chests:eek: Still I had a little letch for about 20 mins.

I went on an adventure today - had to get the no.21 bus from near the chamber of commerce to the QE hospital today - the bus dropped me near the Medical School and I had a short walk to the new hospital (its been open for about 4 weeks)..it's a beautiful building and very light and airy..I arrived a bit too early for my 2.50 appointment but was seen after being there for 5 mins waiting. I had my bone scan so need to wait for the results. Then like a mad fool I wandered to the Cancer Studies Unit where I worked before I was sent to work for bullying nincompoop and was allowed into reception to chat to two of my ex colleagues. I am surprised that I don't have a nose like pinocchio because I said that I was a hugely successful businesswoman:rotfl: (its just that I am still learning:rotfl:). I felt quite sorry for them as they were still there doing the same old job they have been doing since the year dot and there's me working for myself and as free as a bird:D

Goodness me - how the time flies - it's thursday already!

It's been an up and down week - because I am still NOT finished with the house...and am feeling extremely demotivated such that i can;t be bothered to do the ironing, or any other stuff that needs doing and am therefore beating myself up about my laziness.I'm not sleeping well, I'm still on the booze and I feel really naff in the morningsTrying to describe it today to my psychotherpist and I suddenly realised that my life is like one of those mixed up sliding square puzzles - you keep moving square by square into the one available space and ultimately you should see the completed picture.

However at the moment things are still being moved randomly around (and urgently) to accomodate the builders as they finish off all the details and there is no sense of order or picture as yet starting to appear. It doesn;t help that I am constantly being asked to make decisions, clear space, move stuff...so I am constantly on call......and just when i think something is finished, a snag is found and we need to get more work done or re-call the trades concerned. I'm not complaining as they are doing a fantastic job to very high standards and I wouldn;t swop them for the world....and they are my friends as well as builders and it's just as personal for them as it is for me :D....and we ARE having lots of laughs too!

Today top totty couldn;t take his top off as it was too cold and wet :( - so to make up for it, he helped clear out Piggie Palace of all the tools/wood offcuts etc :) and has put all the old oak floorboards on brackets up on the wall (so now we have the beginnings of a dance floor for The Rave :j)

I suddenly noticed for the first time that the wood ply walls have loads and loads of knots in them - so I jokingly complained to Head Honcho (or Big Bruv as he is known) that when they erected PP last year they obviously used sub=standard wood and I wanted it stripped out and done again. So now, amidst much laughing, PP has been re-named PPP (ie Pippy Piggie Palace - after the Pippy oak fiasco! :rotfl::rotfl:......"but of course madam it;s all within normal building tolerances" - another in joke as this was how Dodget abd Bodget excused their shoddy workmanship:rotfl::rotfl:)

We ARE very very nearly there (and I have a bottle of fizz on ice for tomorrow evening although there will still be work going on on monday)

And this weekend I SHOULD start to be able to move things into their right and proper positions - particularly in the kitchen/dining room/utility and thence start to sort out the lounge and study once all the storage boxes piled in there have been removed and unpacked

Ultimately after 10 weeks of utter chaos and disruption, (Plus builders in at 6.30am most mornings and staying untill 8.00pm at night) i don;t think that I will feel "ready" to draw a line under the last three years until the actual day of The Rave - so be warned I might get a bit emotional on the 31st!!

I suspect I;m far more organised than I think I am about the Rave - (although I;m sure Numpty will disagree as I STILL haven;t sent him the list of music to compile:()

The BBQ's are here and assembled - the gas bottles have been got and checked for fittings. I have the bouncy castle orderered and have now have quite a few tables and chairs including tables for the food. The booze is now all arrived - and I have the menus planned for afternoon and evening and have already bought some of the food that can be frozen. I have to clear freezer space this weekend and make the final fresh food list (and some "special" fruit juice combos for the non-alcoholic cocktail bar ;):D)

(I am going to try to maixmise my petrol discount vouchers etc by buying in tranches from Tescos, Sainsbury's, Aldis and have been using cashback sites to do online ordering to date. :money::money:)

So nearly there - long range weather forecast is hedging its bets atm - so fingers and paws crossed for a fine day :)

And ZTD will be joing us all on friday night so we are now up to 9 for dinner ...:think::think:..Hmmm, I could turn this to my advantage and insist that no-one gets fed unless they do x number of chores/chopping etc beforehand :rotfl::rotfl:

Wol scurries off to check number of sharp knives/chopping boards in the [STRIKE]kitchen drawer[/STRIKE] oops no - they're all still in the lounge awaiting re-patriation :o

Happy birthday for yesterday, Wol, and here's looking forward to the fabulous half century next year - Wol's Golden Age! I bet you will have many more things to celebrate by the time that birthday comes round.

Hope so Nargle - and hope you will be able to celebrate them with me in person next year ;)

Doh Numpty, I was keeping my Happy Birthdays for the rave as well, My phone line is carp up here in the wilds of Newcastle. I am in the middle of nowhere. I am sat in my car down the road from base as I write this. First time I have left the place so far this week. I will end up getting arrested by the military police if I am not careful. They must wonder what the hell I am doing.

I have not forgotten your Birthday hun. I am posting this as I cant ring out. I have my dongle dangling out of the car window and its hissing it down and blowing a gale. I just managed to pick up your message hunni. And wanted to let you know I am ok. Busy as hell, and dont like being out of touch with peeps. The worse the weather, the worse the signal. So as I said earlier, I am in my Jimjams sat in my car. LOL. The things I do. I will ring you on friday night. From home.

Will be strange to be back in my own bed and my own house. How strange to think, how much I am looking forward to going to the corner shop. Apart from small shop on base, the nearest shops are 7 fooookin miles away. Not seen light of day since I have been up here.

But the scenery is stunning in more ways than one I can tell you.

Wol is not the only one with top totty all over the place. Hee hee.

Right, I really must go as the guards will be locking the gates at midnight. And its so not a good
idea standing in my jimjams begging to be let in.

Will speak soon, love to all.

    Boo x x x x x x x

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:That'll teach me to read my diary before I send yet another voicemail message to your phone. Please disregard the (rather frantic ) one left tonight :o

Hugs Hun - thanx for letting me know and glad to hear you;re OK...despite the communication restrictions .....ahem.....since when did you start wearing jimjams as night attire..:think::think:.......jim-jams, late nights, lock-outs, guards, military totty...my brain is doing overtime :whistle::)....

    Talk to you tomoz Hun
