I've decided to try and clear up some of the chaos today.

Think the bathroom needs tackling first as all the muckiness and dust and clutter is really annoying me.

I will take it steady, promise, but house especially bedrooms are awful.

Wish me luck, I'm going in.:rotfl:

Valli - well it is only 17 weeks til XXXX!

I'm a bit upset today - have got a major case of the sickness and dire-rear, so much so have had to call in sick cause can't get more than 10 feet from the loo and as such have had to cancel my lovely spa-hotel weekend away with hubby for our 1st wedding anniversary - it wasn't worth wasting £160 on treatments and meals that I couldn't do so bang goes our romantic weekend - am now destined to spend it with Andrex instead.....

Just going to sit and mope for a bit and see whether I can keep down a cup of tea. Minimal pottering today methinks - may as well study a bit
    Boo Hoo!
    I'd rather be watching CSI!

    Morning everyone!

hbbanner.gifLil_me and thanks to LadyL for letting us know about it, and for a lovely day yesterday.

Me I'm so glad that your DS managed to get onto the course he wanted. OH is back to work next week and I'm still on my summer holidays, so if you decide to come down on Monday to Southampton and would like to meet up, just send me a pm and we can arrange it. Would you be coming by train, or car? As LadyL says, the uni portal would probably be the best place to look for places to rent as the landlords have been checked out by then and have to meet certain standards. I was in a student house in my second year with a private landlord and the place was a bit of a dump even though the rent was really cheap (I left it quite late to find somewhere to live and trusted the boys' decisions) - luckily, the boys I lived with were quite sensible and one had a car, so we managed to get to Wickes and do the place up ourselves. Of course, now there is an Ikea in town, it'll be easy to find cheap furniture if the situation requires.

Have been trying to cram things into the last few days as OH goes back to work on Monday as mentioned before, and we wanted to feel like we'd managed to do some things with our time. On Wednesday I had my dentist appointment (all ok and don't have to go back for another year) and in the afternoon, we spontaneously decided to get the train to Brighton for the afternoon. We had a buffet lunch at the "Hut" and then looked around the main highstreet before heading to the lanes. I managed to get quite a few bargains for school for my prize box - 6 pencils with novelty rubbers on top (owls, toucans, parrots and woodpecker) for 25p each as well as 15 glowsticks for 99p in the Works, and I also managed to get a cute set of 8 scented neon gel pens (fruit-scented) that had the little fruits hanging off the end of them, in the 99p shop. For any other primary teachers out there looking for stuff or parents looking to enterain their children for the last few days of the holidays, they also had a really good wordsearch book for £1.99 that I intend to use as a guided reading activity as it also had word logic puzzles in there and a factual passage with a glossary at the end (the Works).

Yesterday I had a lovely day with LadyL, and on Sunday, OH and my M&D and I are all going to the Shoreham Air Show. *wonders if the red arrows will be there for Soappie and LadyL*

I was quite impressed yesterday when I got home from LadyL's as OH had done 2 loads of washing without being asked, although he's left me to put it all away today. He's also managed to clear enough in the garage to enable him to get the lawnmower through so he can cut the back lawn today (it's in desperate need). He's out there doing it all now.

I suppose I'd better get on with some more flying as I'm still in my nightie :o having caught up on some me time by reading a magazine that MIL gave me.

Anyone up for a HHC 12.15-12.45?

    sexymouse xx

ETA Sorry to hear you are poorly likkegibbon - if you can keep anything down, it may be worth having some stewed apple for the runs as it's meant to help.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

I didn't get anywhere with the wardrobe but did tidy some papers in the kitchen, do some online banking, book a holiday cottage for our September holiday and write 2 birthday cards and one cheque!

NOW I will try the wardrobe as I'd like to take stuff to the charity shop when we go for lunch

    Morning all,

I've just found out that a 23 year old who started the course with me in Feb has been found dead, she was only there for one day ( which she spent falling asleep ) and i didn't know her very well but it's still a shock.

I'm going to soft play soon and then i need to go shopping so i'll try and do a bit of flying before i go and then some more when i get back.

Oh Hollyh, thats awful news, she was so young. xx

I'll try and catch up a bit later, didn't put the computer on yesterday!

I've done all the lists now :)

    Afternoon all

One load of washing done, it was out for about an hour then I got it in when the sky went black and we had a good old thunderstorm. The sun is out now but the sky doesn't look settled so I'm going to leave it draped around I think.

Dinner is cooking so I'll try to catch up a bit. Hope everyone's OK.
