    Hi all

Just a quick note to say...yes, I'm still flying, but only hovering at ground level at the moment! I've managed to do a couple of things, but nothing much more than my dailies.

Will have a big catch up tomorrow/Friday/whenever....

Hope everyone is well - we've got good weather here, how 'bout you?

    Take care
    D.

Evening all! Sorry I've not been about today, had to take Mum to an appointment this morning, and then I was supposed to have one of my own this afternoon but by the time I got back I was feeling funny so have rearranged mine. Went to bed and slept for 4 hours! Feeling much better now.

Big hugs Kazwookie, so sorry to hear about your lovely cat

Penny that is a terrible joke! :rotfl:

    Welcome Milosmum and EllenandJess

Thanks Toots for the weekly meal plan thread

Greenbee great news on the courses, enjoy them all!

Pigpen hope you get your hospital appointment sorted out

Hope your migraine is better now Julie

Bonsibabe how nice you are taking next doors child to hospital. Did your hubby get the car thing sorted?

Jinky hope you are feeling calmer and happier now

Well done SVJenni with all you have done, take care of yourself while you are getting over flu

Wow Soappie – have a great time meeting the Red Arrows pilots!

I'm going to have a quick jug shower and then watch Kirsty and Phil. And I will wash up tonight, I will.

Tomorrow I think I will do some decluttering - going to go through a bedside table sized chest of drawers that is between the sofa and the front door. I'm really dying to declutter so I was thinking if I went round the room in a clockwise direction, I could do it methodically. Won't be doing the whole lot at once, but starting with the chest of drawers will be a good start!

    ETA: Big hugs Johanne xx

Have located a potential language school and emailed them telling them what I need and asking for details/costs (and confirmation that they can bill work direct!). Hopefully they'll get back to me soon. I can't fit in a fortnight because of existing commitments, so I thought a week's intensive course should get me started! I'm looking at Italian for the moment as it should be the easiest for me to remember.

My last work-related wine delivery arrived today (it's part of my benefits package ), and given that I have been very slow in drinking the last lot I don't actually have space to put it away, so it should last a while.

Plan for tonight is to have a glass of wine and read in the garden, have a bath and an early night.

I have a list of work-related things to do tomorrow, as I want to get them out of the way (this includes sorting out paperwork for the new job...) and then I should be able to get this week's flying done too. Not sure when I'll get the gardening bit of this leave done :p

I've taken the broken kitchen drawer to my dad's and he's going to sort it out for me then come round with it on Friday to help me put in a new doorbell and 2 radiator shelves :D I've done some more flying so need to find an updated list.

    jinky - hope you're ok

Not true... it'll be too low if they base it on consumption at this time of year. Do you have details of previous meter readings? Ideally you need to work out number of units used in a calendar year and then you can find the best deal. Alternatively if you know how much you were spending on topups, get them to set that as the monthly DD and only review after a full 12-month cycle of usage to allow for seasonal variation. You pay in arrears anyway, so it's not like they're sitting on your money - you just don't want to find you can pay if the small monthly shortfall gradually builds up to a big one over time!

Well I have been told twice on the phone and once by the man who changed the meter that I need to wait 4 weeks and then give them a reading. My electricity consumption is virtually the same all year round.

And does anyone want a couple of hi-vis waistcoats (age 4-7)?

Yes please if they're still going - we have them for the children at school and we are a few short

AnW - well done; will Miss A recognise her room ;)

    Ok .......... where's that list? .......................
