 Hello everyone... Wow. It's been AGES since I've been on here.. Bad Sunshine! I've been having a pretty hectic time of it, but I think things are settling down a bit (for now at least!) though I will be back at work in a couple of weeks _pale_ After 6 weeks, I've gotten used to being off!!
So, for all interested (probably not many!) here is a little update..
My mum has been quite ill recently, leaving me in charge of all household jobs. It all really got on top of me for a while, but I think I'm getting there now!
My OH and I have moved our moving date forward, and it's now in 7 months!! This seems stupidly close, and is quite scary! It will also mean me commuting back here for a few months until the school year finishes, but I think it will be worth it.
I have my driving test on October 1st! Another scary prospect...
Right then, onto the important things; Good luck for your interview Jo!!

As soon as we found out about the redundancy I updated his CV to add his "National Employee of the Year" award and his new courses (his company sent him on a management training course 2 weeks after they announced the redundancy! - who were they expecting him to be managing?!) He's on Monster, JobSite, Total Jobs, registered with the Job Centre and I'm trawling the websites daily! He's got a telephone interview on Friday but there's not much about in deepest, darkest Somerset at the moment...or there doesn't seem to be unless you're a nurse or a welder! :rotfl: He's very lucky he's got til the end of September. Everyone else is leaving at the end of August but they've asked him to be on call for training the new lot. It buys us a bit more time at least
and at least I have a job that I can go back to.

Morning!
Just popped on to wish Jo goodluck for her interview! Good luck! Good Luck! Good Luck! Good Luck! Good luck! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
So far i've s/s kitchen, washed bedding on my bed, decluttered gorgeous rocking horse DH made from my room to DD's room to display some of her favourite toys, put away all underwear, put dry clothes in basket ready for DH to iron, de-pooped dogs and then de-pooped garden. I'm about to take dogs and children to the park.
Had a few tears earlier.....DD had put some old socks on my bed and I thought it was our cat. Then I remembered we don't have her anymore. Also had to cancel the cat insurance as the last payment had come through. It's too wierd not having a cat!
Right, time to get on! Hugs to you all xx0 -
Morning all! So far today I've had breakfast, put away dry washing up and dry washing and hung out wet washing that I washed last night.
Natty, glad to hear lodgercat is getting better and that you are going to help your friend
Jo hope it goes well today
Hi Sunshine hope your mum is better soon

In my hhc I did some more of the kitchen and tried to book a hair appointment. It's a small town hairdressers but she was booked up till October! What happened to getting an appointment in the next couple of days?
I might have to go and get my hair done in Craig from Big Brother's new salon
I have also felt a bit unsettled after a phone call with my mum this morning. She had been to see her sister who has recently rapidly deteriorated with parkinsons and it has really, really upset her. She had cancelled a meeting and was still in bed, which is unheard of for her. I'm sure her distress is compounded as it must make her think more about my sister (her eldest daughter) who died from Leukaemia last year. And she's thinking about her own mortality and feeling lonely. I hate it when my mum is upset

jo Good luck for your interview and helen I hope the funeral goes as well as a funeral can go.
Having had quite a few in the last couple of yours I know how difficult they can be especially with kids who are upset. DS3 has been dreadfully upset at each one and that really does set me off. I am thinking and praying for you both.

have been ironing whilst watching the athletics! Have reduced ironing mountain to the size of a large hill! Still loads to go though!
Have changed some of the beds - we are away at little sis's wedding this weekend - and I don't want to feel i have to do all the beds the minute we get back.
For 4 of us to go to this wedding and stay 2 nights we could have had a week away in a posh caravan at the coast!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
