Hi guys! Am going to the wedding show in October hoping to pick up some freebies and some ideas. I was wondering 1)is anyone else going? 2) has anyone been before? is it any good and 3)do any wedding mags/websites do 2 for 1 tickets or anything?

Hiya,
I posted a similar thread a couple of months ago, as me and OH are going up.
Unfortunately I have not seen any 2 4 1 offers, book in advance though because it's £2 cheaper that way.
From what everyone else told me unfortunately there aren't many freebies.
I was also told to take a backpack to put all the brochures in etc and if possible, take food/drink with you.

Linda - the Harrogate BBEH fair is for trade only so the girls on here won't be able to go.
I doubt that I will be going to the National Wedding Show at the NEC - I have been twice and thought it was nothing but a cattle market full of mothers and brides pushing and shoving:rolleyes: There are limited freebies - oh you might pick up a handful of swizzles matlow sweets and the tiniest scrap of cake if you are lucky. The March one is smaller than the November one but I wouldnt go again - for one thing it is too expensive and very disappointing. Remember that if you do go to wear flat shoes (trainers are comfy - don't wear heels), take a rucksack to carry the huge amount of brochures and leaflets you will be given and take your own food and drink because prices are just plain crazy.
I have never seen any promo codes or 2 for the price of 1 tickets for the National Wedding Show - if you do want to go then book your tickets in advance as they will be cheaper.0 -
I just went to book tickets and there was a space for promo code...i googled nec wedding show +promotional code and loads came up for last year (COSMOBRIDE, YOU etc) but none of them work now boohoo...:TMSE B2B 4th June 2010! :T0

Hi girls
I have to say that I went to the NEC show last March and it was really really good! I tried on loads of dresses, had an amazing make - up lesson and even found my wedding cake AND bridesmaid dresses! There are tonnes of things to see - the Catwalk was brilliant as were the inspiration sessions which gave tips on things like wedding planning and budgeting - really important for me LOL!! I also really liked the Caryn Franklin makeover show as she took a bride from the audience and transformed her live on stage!!! I am going again this year in the hope that I might be picked - best go on diet first LOL!!0 -
