Morning all..hope you are all well xx
Not a lot to report here today.
I'm waiting for bits and pieces bingo/quidco to arrive in my account so will transfer them and the £5x2 from reward accounts to egg once received.
The £1000 transferred from my A+L account to DHs reward account arrived yesterday so have now transferred it to my reward account..to ensure the £5 x2 for next month.
Not heard anything from the tax yet.
I need to check all CC/Mortgage accounts to be able to update my sig.
Need to go to bank and put in takings.
I've done my accounts for today
Need to clean the whole house tonight as gas man is due either tomorrow or thursday to fit new boiler...will let me know later.
Then just general bits and pieces to do.
Dog is at vet today at 3pm.
I think they are due their bath this week as well but can't remeber as the lady changed it and I didn't write it down.

I do them each day now KC so it is so much easier...really simple now.
I have a big envelope say with NOV09 on it and inside I have a A4 piece of paper with incomings wrote on one side and outgoings the other.
Then I have 3 other envelopes inside there one is for petrol receipts, one for the banking receipts and one for miscellaneous stuff.
I then have a box file.this contains plastic see through thingies and as the bank statements/ccs come in I highlight each business expense and put it it its relevant see through thingy.

The stuff from the statements is already wrote out during the month on the sheet.

Beginning of the month it all starts again.

All that needs doing at the end of the tax year is to go through each sheet and total up each expense ie diesel and total for the year and that's it done.

I may even start totalling up at the end of each month and put them on another sheet ..then total that at the end of the year and the jobs done.

That's the plan anyway and it only takes a couple of minutes a day.
  • Taxi well done starting the new routine for your books. So simple yet so many of us struggle to do this kind of thing daily and then have all the burden/stress/worry of getting the damn things out and spending hours finding/sorting etc etc. Its not just the books that could be made so much simpler but for some reason we make things difficult for ourselves?!

So well done finding something that works for you and makes your life simpler and much less stressfu in the long runl I should imagine.

Have you and DH sorted things out? I know its not a joking matter but I'm glad he only damaged his own stuff and not yours!

I agree that we make it hard on ourselves especially when it needn't be!!!!
I have had the account problems for years and always meant to start something....same with putting money away for tax(I'm on to that too...lol)

As for DH...I haven't got to the bottom of it yet.I'm also glad it was only his stuff ..would have been a different ball game if it was mine!!!
He seems ok at the moment ...but he had an all night last night and is just getting up so we'll see.
