I am going to have to think about a lot of what's going on in our lives here.
It is all work and no fun...I seriously need to address that issue.
We need to have fun as we never know what is around the corner at any given time. This last week has taught me that much.
I also need to cut the stress in my life!!!
We also need to have our holidays as we work so hard..so need to get that back on the agenda as well.

That's so true Taxi and I'm sure it's something many of us are guilty of. Perhaps when this is sorted, you can pledge to take up yoga, or something just for you - I can highly recommend it. :)

Just wanted to let you know I've been thinking about you and am sending positive vibes for tomorrow. What you're experiencing is a natural reaction to what you're going through. I found a lump and spiralled into panic mode and vomited (as well as all other evacuations :o)
But I would echo everything Wol and KC have said. Try and avoid caffeine if your heart's racing, do you have any Chamomile tea? That's very calming and soothing.
I also take a few drops of Bach's Rescue Remedy as a bit of an instant stress reliever.

Try to be positive. Whatever the outcome think "I can handle it" and you will. Take care xx

Yes thanks. It was a blocked duct and a few years ago. I did continue to have problems though and went on to have both a scan and mammogram - both fine, but it was very scary at the time.

I know it sounds lightweight, but you can't underestimate the power of positive thinking. I'll be thinking of you positively tomorrow :)

Thanks Macgirl...am sure I'll be able to handle it (will have to anyway) as soon as I know what it is...I just need to know what I'm up against so that I can plan what I need to do IYSWIM.

I didn't realise that by "throwing everything at the debt" you originally meant not having a holiday! Once the ccs are gone, you definitely need to step back a bit and recharge the batteries. The holidays don't need to be as *big* as they were before - 3 weeks in Cuba and whatnot - but something more accessible is still as relaxing and rejuvenating.

Glad you are addressing your work/fun life balance just sorry that it was something like this that made you do it.

As you know I have put debtbusting on the back burner for a few months and I don't regret it.

It is a marathon not a sprint and a few extra months or even years is not the end of the world. 2018 is no time I would love to be mortgage free by then but if not it will be a lot less than now.

But this time we never get back and we do need some enjoyment or to concentrate on other important areas too :money: don't read this but debt busting is not everything and shouldn't be or else our lives are not worth living for the months or years it takes tobe debt free.

I shall be saying some prayers for you for tomorrow and thinking positvely for you all day but whatever the result you have lots of friend on here and we will be wth you every step of the way.

    Take care hun

    Thanks you two.....
I put the holidays and everything else on hold as I knew when I was debt free I'd be able to have as many holidays as I wanted and enough money to do whatever my heart desired.
You are right this is time that we never get back.I do think it'simportant not to have our credit card debt as that is a lot of money that I've been throwing at them and we haven't got a lot left to get rid off now...So I think it's best to be rid of those.
The BOS and HALIFAX loans finish in 2011
The GMAC loan finishes in 2012.
The mortgage finishes 18th April 2018 even with no overpayments.

I need to be rid of DHs Barclaycard by March next year if I don't want to get another 0%card or pay any interest on it....
His BMI card is 6.9% LOB...so sooner the better on that one.

The other big issue is my health. So the plan of action on that is
    (1) Get back onto WWs
    (2) Exercise a bit each day...can't do a lot as very overweight but will build it up.
    (3) All vegetables, milk, cereals etc to be organic.
    (4) I have taken to buying my meat from a local farmer and even know which field it has come from.

The next issue is life/work/fun balance:

    (1) I love my archery and after my lessons will be joing the archery association and becoming a member of their club.
This is all very MSE as we can go to the field anytime and use their equipment at the cost of £1 each once members...the yearly membership inlcuding association fees is just over £70 each....so very cheap for a hobby.
The archery field is in the same areas as the farms that I now buy my goods from so can be a combined trip....saving fuel.

    (2) I will be working 6 days a week(health being ok) from 7am-1pm.....this will leave me time to do the other business stuff ie:banking, washing the car, filling the car, accounts etc...meaning I can spend time in the afternoon with DH before he goes to work and then I'll have more time/energy for housework/exercise.

    (3) I'm also going to look out for other things to do.....in an MSE way of course....not sure what yet.

(4)I'm going to make sure that we get away a couple of times a year for at least a couple of days....maybe at the beginning of a week as that is usually cheaper for accomodation and the days we would lose the least money.

(5)Make sure we go out for the odd meal as well....
