Feeling quite proud of myself as I've been productive for the last hour!!!
DHS Halifax CC 0% runs out 10th March and I intend to have it paid off by then using the overdraft if needs be....then we'll cancel that card.
My MBNA 0% runs out on the june statementand I don't see a way that I can pay it off by then and MBNA are notorious for putting the APR up on a whim...so I applied for a halifax card and got turned down....not to be beaten DH applied to barclaycard and got approved for a 0% card..it asked if we wanted a BT so I put £4500 and it was an instant yes....so am waiting for that to come now.....so that is a massive relief!!!!
The other two cards are LOB anyway...so am chipping away at those.
The £500 p/m I put in the regular savings each month will total £6500 + interest in Oct when it matures will pay off the Halifax and BOS loans and leave a chunk which will go off one of the LOB cards.
So all looking pretty good there.
The car repairs for our car will be paid by DH doing an extra hour each night and the money being put to one side until we have enough...
Once all the CCs are paid off I'll be throwing everything into the offset..so will catch upon my mortgage free challenge.0 -
Well done with that Taxi - good progress and as you say a weight off your mind knowing you've got the MBNA balance covered.
