Hi all...you'll be pleased to know that I've been resting the foot.I haven't been to work as it hurts to drive and it's the foot I use for the clutch ..so you can imagine how many times I have to use the clutch a day.
Am definitely taking tomorrow off and maybe sunday.

Someone was asking(sorry can't remember who) if they'd missed something because of the totals coming down quite quick...now my mortgage is included in the total debt and my savings as well as is only fair due to my title being mortgage and debt free before 50 i guess it makes a big difference.

My mortgage is about £450 p/m and only about £36 of that is interest...so quite a bit comes off.
    Savings...I put £500 p/m in reg saver(don't count interest)
my 3 loans added together are just over £700 p/m
I try to pay about £200 per week when possible on DHs halifax card
make min payments to everything else and sometimes throw a bit extra at them.

Jan /feb/march are my queitest months on the cab but I just pay whatever extra I can when I can....you just have to keep plodding on.

As for the holiday...DH would take me away on a fantastic holiday regardless of whether I still owed anything ..he's good at saving his spends.
I need help planning it as really don't know where I want to go.Cuba is my favourite place in the world so far.
We have not been to Varradero or Havana yet..so that's one idea.
We have thought Sri Lanka,Malaysia, cruise ,Thailand...we really dsn't know.
Any of you got any bright ideas...it will be jan/feb and must be hot at that time of year...it will be a holiday for between 2-4 weeks....it needs to be at least 4 star and the flight needs to have 1st class seats available to book.

So ladies and gents we have a lot to think about.

Maybe Goa, or Verde Islands or Ski Lanka and follow onto the Maldivies

  • If it's a beach type place you're after then maybe not so good but what about Australia or New Zealand? OR both if it was for 3 - 4 weeks. That woulkd be my dream holiday I think - and would certainly tick the boxes for being hot at that time of year!

Those were two I was thinking of as well but don't know where to start to look....EH..but are on my list...
    Gosh this is hard..lol
M21..we usually have the carribean holiday every year but am really wanting to clear all debt and mortgage...so will save some money each week towards a holiday and when we see a last minute bargain ...we may just up and go ...so don't know when the next holiday will be.

So I will just have to get on with dreaming/planning my 50th holiday and any holidays beforehand will be a bonus...my LB is well and truly shining...I really must stay motivated for the next 3years....

What a lovely goal to have to save for, I am jealous! As for destinations.... there are so many possibilities, how do you even start to choose?
