Yesterday both CapOne and Halifax refused a limit increase so I've applied to Tesco and got a 3250GBP limit :-D

Tesco just turned her down but the interesting part is that they didn't do a credit check.

Credit checks cost, so if there's something on application that rules her out, her files won't be searched.

Does she have a lower than average income, for instance? I ask because the credit limits on her two existing cards look lowish for someone with "a very high credit score" *
Note: an extra zero inserted/omitted in your annual/monthly income can immediately kibosh an application.

* Btw, credit scores are at best a very rough guide. It's easy to be lulled into a false sense of security by these numbers. Then it comes as a shock, when your application is turned down.
