good morning all. got a half day at work today, so thought i'd say hello.

Asbestos, we've just done a package hol with virgin this time. Wanted to make sure we had a decent flight this time, last time we were crammed in a very small plane with a baby aqueezed on our lap.

It just occurred to me you all may be thinking how we need £5300?

Virgin holidays flight, pop century for two weeks, and car hire came to £2535.80, (£405 DEPOSIT PAID so far), £1162 ish on all the park tickets, and allowing £2000ish spending money. Although im sure the mrs says she saw on the dis boards the a family of 4 should get by on $2000 for two weeks so it may be an overestimate.

Over estimating is better than under estimating as then you might bring some extra home with you :)

i thought it was cheap at half the price lol ...first time we went to florida we spent £6k second time £7k but then we sure can spend m oney on rubbish :rotfl::rotfl:
  • wow this is gonna be tough. Long day a work, then a game of golf (ha ha), made some tea, and finally sit down to make todays money!!

Blue jeans, We're staying in pop century this time as its only the four of us. We've (3 of us, little girl not born then!) been before with the inlaws at xmas time and stayed in a villa that time.I agree, it was"awesome" and i cant wait to see our boys face as he'll be a lot older than last time.

It feels a little like im cheating as we already raised it, but im gonna include the £2 savings pot in my total as it was always intended for our hols. im just about to go through some bingo offers (checking cashback sites also) i havent done yet as well. then its up into the loft for kids old stuff. does baby clothes sell well on ebay? i presume car boots would be better for the kids toys?

We've been for the past three years and this year we stayed in All Star Music. My youngest has been going since a baby and this year his face was an absolute picture and a joy to see.

Here's a tip for you sign up to loads of US restaurants and enter your birthday for a date that you will be there and they send you discount vouchers for your birthday;).

£2000 is pently for family of 4. We did it on a budget this year and the only thing we cut back on was shopping for goodies and with the dollar rate so pants this year we did see so many bargins anyhow.

What park tickets are you looking for?

Another great site is www.thedibb.co.uk for loads of tips and advice.

    I'm soooooooooooooo jealous - I want to go back:cool:

wow just read that ...seems all the cast members are dying ....i sense a tightening of health and safety rules in the wind
  • Would only ever fly virgin myself after a disasterous flight with ba and AA, fortunatly the kids werent with us then.

Resturants to sign up to include, red lobster, sweet tomatoes, outback for vouchers.

Pack a holdall to carry home extra stuff you buy.

Take your own car seats, you can them in with your luggage.

Funny I was saying to OH about that (dibb is my homepage:p). That's 3 CM's within about a month:eek:
  • As asbestos says take your own car seats don't hire one throught the car hire company. If you don't want to take your own car seats buy them in Walmart rather than hire them. We done this the first year and now take them every time we go.

Same with buggy (if you need one) take it with you. It would cost you a fortunate to hire one each day at the parks.
  • just been chastised by my OH for saying she browsed the dis boards, she prefers thedibb also. now, as i write this, she reckons she does browse the dis boards....women!!!
