Correct. Only a full understand of the regulations combined with viewing the relevant part of the video recording can distinguish a true Box Junction contravention.
I strongly suggest that this be done.

To be blunt here also.
The above is incorrect, I refer people to the relevant text.

"no person shall cause a vehicle to enter the box junction so that the vehicle has to stop within the box junction due to the presence of stationary vehicles"

After a compliant entry to the box it is perfectly possible for vehicles to become stationary. especially if a vehicle jumps into the box from a side turning.

Only the video will show the truth.

Quite true. Also, to the advanced driver, very few things happen "suddenly". Looking at that photo, you'd only have to wait a car length further back and wait for the car in front to have moved a car length further forward before making a decision. It looks like OP has been tailgating.
