deleted the Media folder in /var/mobile/ = fix for this problem

Glad to hear you managed to unlock your iphone 3gs! I plan on buying a 3gs soon and will try to unlock it. Couple of questions:
1) Is the unlocking method you used similar to this?

2) After unlocking, does EVERYTHING work as before on the phone? (ie apps, camera, gps etc)

Yes everything will work just as before jailbreaking & unlocking your iphone just remember not to update in itunes until you've checked that the new version can be jailbroken again. ( next update should be 3.1.0 )

Download an app called Appsync via Cydia. Should solve you problem :money:0

Not actually true. You can update to 3.0.1 in itunes but when jailbreaking point redsn0w to an old 3.0 file which can be found in the same place as redsn0w:money:0 -
