This morning I had an email from SKYBLUE COURIERS which says

"Dear Customer,

YOUR PARCEL IS READY FOR DELIVERY

Sky Blue Air Logistics and Courier company is a courier missing parcel recovery company working in association of Royal Mail,DHL courier,UPS courier and FEDEX courier. Your parcel has been found at Europe Central sorting station in the worldwide mails re-distribution dome.Your email address was witten on this parcel that is why we are contacting you directly and because of the importance of the content of the parcel our company has the responsibilty to deliver lost or delayed parcel to their bonafide owners, after our re-confirmation of the ownership. For easy
delivery please re-confirm your your name, address and phone number for
immediate shipment.

You can now be rest assured that your parcel is in safe hands. If you want to know what is inside the parcel before accepting delivery,We shall give you more details on the parcel after receiving your response to this mail.If you don't reply, we will have no choice but to discard the mail as lost parcel, because the mail has no return address written on it.We can't understand why someone will send such an important parcel without a return address. You should reply through the parcel delivery
director's email for the claim: skybluedelivery1@itimes.com

Yours truly,
Ms.Jane Andrew.

Am I right in thinking this is a scam, even though I did lose an Ebay parcel in the post to USA some months ago. What are they after doing if it is ?

Well, the only Skyblue Courier the google throws up is in India so it doesn't look promising.

Also the fact that have left HTML code in the text points to rank amateurs.

Add to that the rather quirky English and impertinant tone and I would say: SCAM!

It looks like a scam to me, Google gives nothing on company name, but no scam reports yet either, may be a new one going about.
Op, you may be the first!
    Thanks for the warning

Definitely suspicious. Why would your e-mail address be written on a parcel? Sounds implausible.

Surprise - a whois search reveals the domain is based in India!!

Cant think what they are after though, unless its just to confirm your email address in order to treat you to a lifetime supply of spam.

i vote scam. Looks like a prospecting email to see if it is live. If you reply, they either request release fee's, customs fees or some other fee, or they will just send lots of spam or scam emails as they know it is a live email.

Why is the email address of this courier not their own?
If you go to https://www.mcom.com, you get redirected to http://www.tunome.com, which is a provider of free emails.
Similarly, itimes.com looks like it's a social networking site.
Don't even reply to the message.
