spv m600 and tom tom

my son has just got a spv m600 he wants to know if he gets the tom tom sd card and put it in the m600 will it work as a sat nav or is it not as simple as that

As far as I know it has to be the specific version of Tom Tom called "TomTom Mobile". The usual versions TomTom Go/ 300/500/700 etc will not work, but I am sure there are better informed people than me about to give you the full lowdown later.

I am not an expert, but I think he also needs a bluetooth SatNav receiver.

He will need TomTom Navigator for PocketPC's and a GPS receiver of somesort.

I use my O2 XDA iis (SPV M2000) with TomTom and it's great.

I believe there are some issues regarding Windows mobile 5 and Tom Tom compatability. It is surmountable but requires a degree of computer compitence. Best advice would be for a newer version of Tom Tom to come out in the next month or two. (I hope!)
