Been having a little bit of a muddle over my price plan - i originally signed up for a 24 month Racoon plan and was promised a £100 cashback on my old handset from the Orange store, so it would take off around £5 a month off the bill and bring it down to about £20.48 or something like that.
Had to do a temporary disconnection earlier in the year as I was still trying to get out of my "3" contract, so 3 months later I managed to do that and went back to Orange.
Was told by the shop and by Orange that I couldn't have the rest of the cashback I was promised (and had a receipt for) so rang Orange again last month.
They worked out what the issue was apparently and told me it was resolved and i'd get the cashback starting from my next bill, which was issued today.
When I read it, i realised they'd changed my priceplan without my consent, so I've just rung back and the upshot of the conversation is that I have secured 600 minutes and unlimited text messages for £20 a month for the remainder of my 2 year contract.
All that on top of a £5 mobile bill this month as well.
I'm very happy

I have just been offered 400 mins + 400 texts for 15 a month on a monthly by month contract (no long tie in ) is that a good deal ?0

thing is, i'm happy with the contract length - the longer the better. my credit rating is crap so i'm not necessarily guaranteed another contract.
and my whole family are on orange anyway, so for me it makes sense.
and i qualify for a handset upgrade on May 25th 2010 as well
The reason i'm happy with this deal is that the tariff i'm on is supposed to be £30 quid a month and the discount plus an apparent goodwill payment is what has knocked £10 a month off it.I have just been offered 400 mins + 400 texts for 15 a month on a monthly by month contract (no long tie in ) is that a good deal ?
sounds good to me0
