You can try forcing a manual update to your HD box:

They did make a CRT HD, i think it was a Samsung, the picture was awuful, and it died a death.

Doing a force update won't get you the new EPG.

It depends on what make of HD box you have as to whether you will have it or not.

True enough. And I believe any one with a samsung box could be waiting a while longer yet due to 'technical issues'.

ours is amstrad. the annoying thing is they were advertising ages ago that we would get it soon and the ads stopped ages ago. they have left people with no idea what is happening. would it kill them to stick a letter in with the monthly sky mag explaining what is happening.

To be honest, having read all the problems on many other forums (especially AV F & DS) over the new EPG, I'd rather wait with the hope they can sort the issues out.

i think they had crt hd and rear projection hd tvs for a long time before LCD/plasma ones came about, they didnt sell here of course because we always get stuff last, i read somwhere that australia had hd tv years before us.

I thought this thread was worth bumping as I just found out about it today. What a difference it makes to the footy as the regular ITV picture qualIty is just awful!:j

For what it's worth for others waiting, most of the Samsung boxes have been updated and they're rolling out the new EPG to the Amstrad boxes now.
