Also the notice to cancel the contract within 7 days, -for the sale of goods that means 7 WORKING days (MTWTF) from the day of delivery of the goods- must be given in writing, a fax or email or letter, a phone call will not do. Also the notice can be sent on the 7th day, it does not have to be received by the 7th day.
Beginning with the day following day of delivery, this could mean up to 14 "normal" days if the goods where received on the Thursday prior to Good Friday!

Apologies for the delay in updating, my home broadband stopped working for a couple of days and I've only just got it back up and running again.
Well, I'm afraid my mum still couldn't find a courier, she has tried everything. I did talk to her about returning to the physical address but she decided it wasn't worth the risk. So unfortunately, rather than returning the TV and buying a better one (for a lower price as well), she is keeping this one. If she hadn't become so stressed out about it, I'd have tried to persuade her otherwise, but I don't think it was worth her persuing it any longer as it was upsetting her so much.
Thank you once again for all the help given - I think in future, whilst I'd use ebuyer for a small purchase, I would now think twice about buying anything too expensive as the customer service seems appalling.0
