The Long and the Short of it is its not Big John from Saynoto0870. I thought the Big John you refer to Space Age resigned his membership.0

Really, why was that then? You mean resigned from MSE or Saynoto0870 or both?mobilegossip wrote:The Long and the Short of it is its not Big John from Saynoto0870. I thought the Big John you refer to Space Age resigned his membership.

On the subject of line rental i can't understand how Martin has worked out the annual average phone bill. It seems that he has factored in a monthly line rental of £41 when i get this quarterly. I would really appreciate it if anyone could clarify this for me

Hiya, it may help if you start a new thread for that because more people will see it and you will more likely get a reply.chrissyq wrote:On the subject of line rental i can't understand how Martin has worked out the annual average phone bill. Does anyone know exactly when TalkTalk stopped their free Talk2 offer (when you took out line rental). I signed up but they insist on charging me the £3.99 fee.
They say "unfortunately it is not free for 12 months. If you have some information from us that states this, could you please forward this to us either by post or fax. " - pretty ridiculous really when you consider they changed their website and don't show the dates that their offers changed!
How can I prove it?
thanks

Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

because since originally signing with TT a few years ago, a number of our friends have also signed so most calls are free. And many people don't want the hassle of lots of different call providers and/or call boxes around the house. With phones in 4 rooms, and a hard-wired splitter box, we would need some careful re-wiring to connect up one of those discuont boxes to be effective. Then spend time programming it. Stuff that.
