Switch to TalkTalk without Line Rental?

Hiya, is it possible to switch to talktalk option 2 for free weekend and evening calls but keep line rental with BT?
I'm trying to do it through the Rpoints site for the points cashback, but can't find any option during the TalkTalk sign up process to deselect line rental.
I won't go for their line rental because it's exactly the same as BT except you can't access other providers and also to report a fault it's only within business hours
Thanks peeps

Even if I set it up and then phone them to cancel the line rental, or I contact BT and say I want to stay with them??Edinburghlass wrote:No longer possible without taking the line rental.
Btw did Martin get a response from TalkTalk about them blocking cheap call providers??

Its my understanding that although they dont actively encourage CPS customers only, they wont turn them away, but they will insist you pay £3.99p a month for Opt 2.(you dont get the free 12 month offer unless you take line rental).PF.0

Is there a minimum term for line rental from them or can you just switch away from them within two weeks of joining??pricefighter wrote:Its my understanding that although they dont actively encourage CPS customers only, they wont turn them away, but they will insist you pay £3.99p a month for Opt 2.(you dont get the free 12 month offer unless you take line rental).

Why are you so keen on Talk Talk when you can sign up with Primus for free evening and weekends and stay with BT, without the Talk Talk hassle?0

Ah, not for me then because I will only have this line till mid-end June then it's being cancelled. That's less than 3 months awaypricefighter wrote:Minimum term of 3 month applies if you take line rental.
