All good advice above. People basically overpay for Kitchens. If you do some research you can find tons of suppliers, and, like you say either fit yourself or get a tradesman to fit for you. A tradesman worth his salt would also be able to source good quality units.

This feels a bit parasitic, latching onto andyguk's post, but we need a new kitchen too. (Sorry Andy!) It sounds as though everyone who is suggesting a local tradesman must have the right idea. Can anyone recommend someone near Newbury, by any chance (please)?

They sell cheap kitchens, dressed up as something special, they offfer a poor service and once they have your money, they don't care what goes wrong...
