Why would you say this?
The UW clearly does advertise, and has been reported to the ASA a number of times for false & misleading advertising.
Here is just one example where the UW has attempted to defend its misleading advert, but has been found "guilty" (note the ASA say it's not the first time they put out misleading ads regarding supplying the cheapest gas & electricity) :
http://www.asa.org.uk/asa/adjudications/non_broadcast/Adjudication+Details.htm?Adjudication_id=38116
The UW has its own website, which even now states that they have supplied the cheapest energy for 5 years. Which everyone knows is just not true.
You know where to find that website!0 -
Tried to register for this service, but find it quite impossible.
to sign up you have diasable `cookies`. Can anyone help how to overcome this problem ? Thanks.:0 -
Hi I live in Northern Ireland & BT include all calls made to the Republic of Ireland as local/national & are free as part of the free calls bundle. I was interested in the Primus as a provider for stand alone phone provider but I need to know if Republic of Ireland calls will be charged outside of the free calls bundle. I know talk Talk provide the same deal as BT. I have spoken to Uswitch concerning this matter but they never came back to me as promised.0

Hi
Thanks for explaining how it works. Just a note, i changed my package with BT yesterday to their cheapest, £12 including VAT. When i asked about Broadband at £14.99 as you mentioned they said that was their option 2 broadband and was only £14.99 for 3 months then £22.99! I thought i'd pass it on. Looks like i'm stuck paying £17.99 for broadband as i can't find it cheaper other than talk talk which seems too unstable for me. Any other suggestions anyone?

Hi, go for Madasafish using MSE code cheaper and you will get it for £10.99 for 6 months then £16.99 pm for the enxt 6 months. After that they do negotiate on price. 8mb speed and if you go to ww.thinkbroadband.com and compare them against say plusnet or Zen internet you will be surprised. Good luck!Currently 4 me its Rogers Contract cell phone, REBTEL.COM is the best mobile making and receiving calls to/from UK and Canada:beer:0 -
No, AFAICS, the Primus Saver Option 2 CPS rate for calling ROI is 3.9p/minute.
Hi,
I know this may sound silly to you but what do you mean by AFAICS???
Thanks
Ps had a look at your link + im still confused as to go for primus 2 or BT0 -

If you're getting 'free' calls to the ROI numbers (and to UK 01/02 numbers) on BT, you must be paying for BT Together Option 2 (evenings & weekends) or Option 3 (24/7).
If you go for Primus Saver Option 2 CPS, that will give you free evening and weekend calls of up to 90 minutes each to UK 01/02 numbers - but not to ROI numbers. So, to keep 'free' calls to the ROI, you'd need to keep paying BT as well - so you'd gain nothing (i.e. there's no point).Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. www.saynoto0870.com/companysearch.phpSorry, AFAICS = As Far As I Can See (I keep THIS in my favourites for when one of those acronyms catches me out).

Thanks for explaining that to me, i think i will stay with bt but change to option 1 which will reduce my line rental, call ROI in the evenings which is classed as a local/national call which will allow me to chat for up to an hour for just over 5p, use https://www.saynoto0870.com/companysearch.php & do a lot less talking.:money:
I was also wondering what is the best way to pay BT, i would like to pay monthly but my previous bills were around £80 and i expect to cut this so the amount they would be looking would be divided by the last 6 months bills. Any advice???:A0 -

IMO (In My Opinion), getting onto 'whole bill direct debit' is best although I do appreciate cash flow can be a problem for some people with that.
ISTR (I Seem To Recall) BT do monthly and quarterly versions of that and I think you can change to that online if you sign up for online account management.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. A Swalec salesman called yesterday to sell the new "talk with swalec" Can't find anything about this service. Is it any good? It doesn't include broadband, but he wanted me to sign then & there and if I changed my mind I would have to cancel within 7 days. I didn't sign. Should I have?0
