I'm so sorry, 32b - I hope now she's getting some help it'll be easier on you.

It's important to stand up to psychiatric nurses, they more than many see the manipulative side of people and can be cynical when it isn't warranted. There are so many cases of people claiming to be suicidal purely to be given a bed in the ward that they tend to be wary of people who make the claims. You know what happens away from the hospital and shouldn't be quiet if your sister needs a noisy advocate.

(I'm not complaining about psych workers, since I work in a psych unit myself - it's just something that can happen, like when teachers stop believing that dogs have an unhealthy taste for completed homework. It's unfortunate that genuine cases can be caught in the cynicism.)

  • Jillie- glad to see you home, glad BP sort of behaved itself.

32B- welcome back! Sorry to hear about your sister but at least she has finally been admitted now.

Mixed MW apt for me- it was another different MW as mine is still off sick. BP was very good but I have leukocytes in my urine again, which probably means another UTI- my third so far this pregnancy. What an absolute joy! Also baby is back to back, so have been given some positions to try and rectify this. Not engaged, but measuring a perfect 32cm at 32 weeks which is all good. My Dr doesn't give Gaviscon on prescription unless reflux is causing a big problem, which it's not for me yet (although I was pretty unhappy last night) but I bought a small bottle today just in case.
