    hi guys

    very quick visit,
just been to mw and my BP was at the 'go to hospital now' stage so have nipped back home to get my o/night bag (just in case)
hopefully will be just 4-6 hrs and i will be back later!!

Good luck! the exact same thing happened to me yesterday, they gave me blood tests, a scan, some medicine (Nifedipine) to try and bring it down a bit and then a HORRENDOUSLY painful sweep to try and start things off and sent me home, nothings happened overnight though.

I'm feeling a bit low because I want a home birth and this probably cancels it out. But eyes on the prize and all that, the baby is more important than the birth so just need to focus on that.

Hope all goes well at the hospital for you!

ETA: wow congratulations Glam - can't believe how many people are leapfrogging me!
First baby (a boy) due 03.09.09 - eeeeeeeeekkkkk!

I'm finishing 3 weeks before my due date and hoping to go about a week early rather than be late and possibly have a bigger baby!! Is that really strange / selfish?!?

I know I can't plan it so it probably doesn't matter what I want anyway!
lol I love how everyone has a wish list like that :D (unfortunately you usually the opposite of what you want) also my 1st was 14 days 'late' and 6lb 12oz but 2nd was 3days 'late' and 8lb 3oz :)

My EDD was 19th June and I finished work on 11th June and waters broke on 12th June (although didnt actually give birth until 16th June). I didnt want to waste a day of my maternity leave so I had strong words with the bump and told her that the sooner she came the longer she would get to spend with her mummy and daddy as I couldnt take long for maternity leave due to finances. I told everyone that I planned to go into labour on 12th June and my little bump did just that!

slopes back off to parents thread xxx

SJ - not selfish at all! I'd actually love for mine to be born early so we can have a baby at home for Christmas :D. At the very least, don't want it to be more than 5 days late, as desperately want it before the new year! Will deffo copy down Glam's Plan now and follow it to the T! ;)

I think it was something like that! EPO, RLT, pineapple, curries, sex, you name it! ;) (plus calcium & arnica for afters) I was reluctant to do EPO suppositotries (due to ick factor) but now I'm thinking it's worth it, LOL!!

Beenie - I think jha said the scan was around 12, so I'm sure we'll hear something this arvo.
