zgaze - give it until the list is next updated and you'll be top cos Aylesbury will be moved down

Mainly because I read in batches throughout the day and by the time I catch up the moment/conversation has passed, a lot of the time!

Its all good (apart from that moment of stress seeing myself so close to the top of the list) - I have all the stuff ready and lined up for a home birth, so fingers crossed that will happen.

I do feel HUGE though - I have absolutely loved being pregnant all the way through and didn't really want it to end, but thats all changed just in the last week and now I am uncomfortable and miserable. I feel like when you see a beetle on its back with all its legs waving in the air and it can't move - thats what I am like trying to get out of bed or off the sofa!
First baby (a boy) due 03.09.09 - eeeeeeeeekkkkk!
  • Nanc - I'm going to ask for the cord to stop pulsating before cutting... it makes sense to me for the placenta to finish its work naturally... Am also going for a natural 3rd stage unless there's any medical reason to need to deliver placenta quicker. We were also advised in hypobirthing to try to avoid cleaning up the baby too much after birth i.e. to let the remaining vernix soak in as will help keep skin hydrated...

Ness - congrats and best wishes for Zac

ML I finish in 7 minutes. All this week has been a waste of time, just pootling round chatting and being on hand to answer questions from the peeps taking over from me (though I know I will get a million and one calls while I'm off!). I got £70 Boots voucher :jand cards (no cake/dinner etc cos they know I is anti-social and never go to other peoples!:D Suits me perfectly).

Last post from work now then. Must rememebr to click the box 'forget me' or whatever it is (so I'm not still logged in from here!).

    Hugs to all xxx

ML that's great! Treat yourself to some of your cake while you're in on your own (that's what I would do ha ha!!)

How long does it take for the cord to stop pulsating? I want to wait for this too so just wondering how long it takes.

Jam that's lovely you got all those gifts! Enjoy your last few minutes!!
