Hello all,
I have a DD who will be 20 months at Crimbo and this year will be the 1st when she is aware of Christmas.
Also another nice thing to put in a Xmas eve hamper is Lush do baby bath bombs and ideal for sensitive skin and smell lovely in their baths. They usually come in a Angel or Devil shape and are £1.35 each https://www.lush.co.uk/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=565&category_id=476&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=80
also last year on ebay i brought a set of Christmas ducks for the bath! . These are ideal for this age group too.

I have just got the christmas happy land set from early learning centre for DS's christmas eve hamper. It was £6 but I had a voucher so it cost me nothing. We went to the surestart play group yesterday and got given a goody bag when we left. I have added the crayons from it to his hamper.

I have just bought the ducks too, my son loves bath ducks and I think our elf visitor will bring them at some point during december.
Kayleigh N - Well I have invited ex to come round on christmas morning to see DS open all his presents, I suggested that I buy all the presents and stocking at that he buy the main present, that way we spend the same amount and we both share seeing him open them. I hope it will work. Then he is going to take him to see granny and grampy for a couple of hours then he is bringing him to my parents where we will be having dinner and spending most of christmas. I hope it will go smoothly, I can't see him taking the mick when it is an event where all our families will be present.0 -
I know how some of you feel.....me and LO dad have been spilt up a long time and Ive always travelled 500 miles home to see my mum etc for xmas every year. This year however my mum will be away to Australia and my little ones dad doesnt give a hoot about him, so it will just be me and LO - for the first time ever! And he is 7!!!
I know how exciting and nervous you all are, but can I just drag the thread back onto topic please for a teeny weeny minute?!??!?!?
I am loving the xmas eve hamper idea and I am going to do that for me and littley - I am also loving the letter from Mrs Claus on 1st december but Im worried mine will be a bit old for this......although having said that, he does sleep with his cuddly toy every night
And the elves.....what exactly do you do with the elves....sorry if Im being a bit dim....
Someone mentioned it sitting on the TV - are these Santa's spies? xx Is this something that my 7 year old boy is likely to buy into?
TIA xxx
Hello
Our Christma Elf is called Otis Sugar-Socks and he arrives on 1st December with a letter from Santa and come home on Xmas eve when santa drops the pressies off. Whilst he is here he gets up to all sorts and just makes the whole family feel special and Christmassy.
I have a 18 month dd, 6 yr dd 9 yr dd and 12 ds and they all loved the Christmas Elf being here and the 3 eldest at some point during the year have asked if he will come again this year! Even tho my 9 and 12 yr old know that he cant really be doing all these things they loved it and it just brought us all together:
There a couple of threads here, the 1st explaining about it and the 2nd thread is a list of suggested things your Elf could do! :T

purplegirluk1- that sounds like a really good plan! I'm sure it'll work out for you
.
I'm so excited about christmas!
For the xmas eve hamper I've bought chocolate lollies (£1.65 for 4 from mothercare), a large White laundry basket (£3.99 from instore aka poundstretcher) which i'm going to buy christmassy themed material to line them with, a small xmas book (£1.25 Matalan), festive plastic mugs (Yellowmoon £2.99 for 3!!), Lakeland are selling present overwrap (£1.49) theres enough to cover the basket and its christmas themed.
OMG Next have brought out a lovely christmas bedding set for only £12, which i have ordered they are for single beds (i'm going to keep it for when DD is in a proper bed)0 -
How about getting the kids to write a special wish or even their christmas list on a chinese lantern, then lighting it in the garden on Christmas eve and sending it up to Santa. Obviously might have to have a sneaky peek to ensure Santa doesn't ignore the request!!!;)

expensive - however not if you club together with a few other parents or get searching for cheaper ones on the net!0
