rght, i'm going to order what you've suggested 2gb for £16.99 with delivery for tomorrow, i'm not 100% confident in changing the ram but with instructions i'm willing to have a go otherwise i'll never learn.

i'll be back if i get stck

but i can't open the compartment where it goes there are 3 very tiny screws which just keep spinning round and round they won't come out

is it this one

To remove the screws you need small screwdrivers. like you would use to repair classes, undo all three and then carefully lift the edge. if it doesnt come away easily then the screws are undo enough.

ok i've to find somewhere now that sells a screwdiver small enough because the screwdrivers i have don't fit the screws.

how many slots do you have, should be 2, usually 1 on top of the other, and how many memory modules. it says 1gb on the website, that could be 1x1gb or 2x512gb,
you'll need to find out, before buying the memory.
if its 2x512gb then it would probably be better to go for 2x1gb modules. If you have a spare slot just buy 1x1gb
