I had a quick search around but had no results so I hope it's cool MODS starting this new thread.
Whilst reading through Martins Book, their is a small bit on using Freeware / Opensource Software, as I use and participate in some of this stuff I thought it would be good if we had post for this.
Any how here are a few I know of some reall well know of course.
Firefox open source web browser one of the best I think

I must say hi to a Young Ones fan as well NICE choice of comedy - the only choice :cool: ! sorry back on subject.
Did try the above but an error came back everytime.
Perhaps it was just at that time will try again anyhow0 -
Well nothing my end with that search and I have tried a 101 options so post up if get any better luck on existing threads on this subject0

jaydog, try searching with freeware (all lower case, NO capitals) as the keyword. It works fine for me.

Ah thanks, i have read the users guide well in a typical male style, i scanned it LOL, I have just followed your instructions again it did not work the first time, then it dawned on me.....it was a setting on my web browser causing the error msg....all sorted now thanks....the search works perfect0 -
