BUT I did also see these Cath Kidston inspired letters which are gorgeous, but it was cheaper for me to buy the words instead of all seperate letters...

That's a point lol, we could have saved half of what we paid too!
Ah well, we can always sell the stuff back on eBay....that's what I'm planning on doing when I've finished with it all!Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
If anyone is thinking of doing this and hasn't already got favours, a MSE trick would be to combine them. My friend had jars and bags on each table but mixed up on each table, so guests were going over to other tables to raid sweets they didn't have on theirs. It was a real ice-breaker and we've totally stolen the idea for our wedding next month.0

Just wanted to say that ALdi have Jelly babies, jelly fruits, licorice allsorts and wine gums for 18p per 100g (think it was 260g for 8p or something similar). Much cheaper than most wholesalers. They had a sell by date of June 2010Remember to always be yourself-unless you suck. Joss Whedon0

. Also using a couple of knickerbocker glory glasses my mum already has and gonna be looking out for vases and bowls, esp after christmas. FOr anyone looking to buy wholesale sweets, be careful. Look at the price per 100g-asda smartprice and sainsbury's basics etc have dolly mixtures and midget gems etc for 30p per bag-working out at 16p per 100g!!!
Just for anyone else who has bought these jars, they take 600g of sweets, I bought bags of dollies mixtures from Home Bargains for 39p each and they use 3 and a bit of these bags, there was 190g in each bag. I'll take a picture and post it here if I can. They look lovely.:T
Edit: I've just weighed full and empty jars the 99p jars take exactly 645g of sweets and Kilner style jars that are sold in Tesco for £1 take 745g of sweets, so hopefully this should help everyone work out there budget.:A :
