Egg Money: Free SBT with positive balance?

Options
I have been out of the stoozing game for a about a year however the Virgin 9month 0% deal with no BT fee has caught my eye.

I see that Virgin will still charge the BT fee if you are transferring straight to a bank account therefore I was considering routing the money via my Egg Money card first.

I am aware the Egg Money card has changed slightly in the last few months and lost some of its benefits however can anyone confirm whether or not it is still free to perform a SBT to a current/savings account if you have a positive balance

Cheers

    Yes, still the same.

The 0% fee deal was pulled yesterday.

You've replied to a thread where the OP asked the same question and was answered.

  • nice one fellas. was just about to ask the same thing. got my bt from virgin into my egg card this morning so my egg card now shows as a positive balance.

need to now move that into my current account. As far as I'm aware if its a positive balance its free but when you start eating into your credit limit on the egg card its a 4% fee or something.
  • just to confirm. Do I just use the balance transfer option on the egg website and select to a current account?

when i did this last a few years ago, I had to send them a message but I guess they now have implemented an option to do it without the need of this.

I phoned egg and simply asked for a transfer of £xxxx's back to my linked current account after determining that this would be done without any fee. The c/s person was most helpful.
